2006 - 2007

Hy all

Newbie here trying to buy an SRT.

My question is
1- should I get the 2006 model next week or wait for Nov to get the 2007 model.
2- In which case beside a Touring version, is there any difference with the current SRT?

The only flavour at the dealer is either Black with black or Silver with black and all bells and whistles included except the gps. The u connect seems to be on the rear view mirror!???

3- Should I ask for any specific add on as I've got the rustproffing + 30%tint + some interior/exterior proofing of some kind and a 3year service and labour warranty or 50km.

Please advise and be gentle as I am very fragile.

Welcome to the forums Jay! You mentioned the Touring I see. Are you from Europe cuz it's only available there? Here's a thread you should check out with the changes for 2007 models Updated 2007 LX model information and pricing.

IMO the changes aren't significant, but there are a few differences. I guess the biggest thing in favour of a 2006 is that Employee Pricing has been extended for another month. That could save you a lot of money.

When I got my car I got every option available, 20% tint and purchased the best extended warranty they had from the dealer. It includes 20 oil changes, tire road hazard, meals, accomodation, towing, rental vehicle and a whole lot more. It all depends on whether you intend to keep your car past the 3 year basic warranty. Good luck on your decision and you'll be happy no matter which year you choose!

Thanks for the welcome.

Will be getting the black beast on Monday with black seats.

1- This car has already some kind of tinted solar glass from the factory.
Would applying a 20% tint be OK or will it boost it to 30% equivalent?

2- I've got a huge full wheel and tyre in the trunk with a jack and the full monty. It takes a huge space and I wonder whether the car is balanced as such or is it OK to put the wheel in the garage or need to rebalance?

3- Do all cars come with a warranty of 3 years/100000km plus maintenance contract for 3 years/60000km? Apparently only tires+lamp bulbs+battery are excluded.

4- All options are on this car including sun roof and u connect and rust proofing and Max Guard...etc except the sat radio and GPS. Anything else to add on?
