JmoneySRT-8 Vs. Mustang Mach 1... VIDEO!

Ok guys im back with another racing video!! but first a story!! LoL

So tuesday night i went to a regular carmeet(about 50-100 cars) around my area i always go to every tuesday night. My friends and i were just minding our business(350z 320hp.(bald ass tires!! he loves to drift!and Evo8 340hp) when some guy from another group comes up to us and tells my friend in the 350z(allan) that some guy with a new Sti wants to run!! so of course we go race!!

My homie runs this sti 3 times and kills this guy!!
So after that we were just parked and i noticed a mustang!!!!
(i read in mustang forum about some guys that spanked a srt-8 , a mach 1 and a cobra svt!!) so i went up to the car and i ask what kind of mustang is that? the owner responds "its a mach 1" !!!!
So i asked him if he wanted to race. he said no! and askes what car i have. I said" Oo just a chrysler 300_______" and he come up with some bull****!! " they have a nice one like that, that goes up to 120mph, my mach 1 does 150 with the gov"!!!! LoL im was hella smiling and thinkin to myself that this fools an *******!!. so i respond "Oo really?? well thats a SRT-8!!! and it goes 172 With the gov.!!!" and these guys were in aww and didnt know what to say LOL. so i do what ever it takes to get a race and i kept on asking to run he keeps saying NO. and he finally decide to run because all his friends were tellin him to( hooray for peer pressure!!)
so we line up and i dont know why i feel so confident before a race, but when i get in my car i dont know what to do!! I turn off my ESP and i was planning to baby the pedal a lil so i wont get as much tire spin and keep it in D. but i ended up smashing it and my tires breakout for a bit and hes up by 1.5 cars at the launch!! right now i pissed i thought i was going to lose!! so i slap the stick back to 2 and i start catching up and by the 17thsecond of the video(please refer to the video and look at the time) we were even, by the 20thsecond i was up by 1 and when you see him hit his brakes and i hit mine, im already up by 2!! So i turn back and i say: i got ya at the end, lets go again" he gets out of his car and says " that cars quick, my cars broken somethings wrong with my injectors" LoL

Sorry for the long write up!!

and of course here the video.. enjoy!!

Nice video! You can usually tell the difference between 300's vs other cars. Stance is usually higher and the lights have a distinct look to em. That March 1 did have a lead but you took it all back and busted loose.

Ask if you can race him again in the daylight so we can see his face when you catch up! Hahaha.

i have both cars and my Mach 1 is faster. i just bought the srt-8 a couple days ago and i am not impressed with it's performance when pulling away from a stop (any idea what gears are in it?). my mach 1 has a couple of bolt ons and 4.30 gears - it hauls ass in the quarter, but no faster than the srt-8 once it's up and running. the srt-8 may be a little quicker at higher speeds.

The SRT-8 comes with 3.06's stock. When lower gears are available, bye bye mustangs. What kind of 1/4 mile times does your Mach-1turn?

BTW: The SRT-8 gets quicker as you rack up miles. Check back when you have 5,000 miles on her.

that was a very nice post of yours on the new guy...

I was thinking more along the lines of something like this...
a. - you already indicated your Mustang is not stock...
but that the SRT8 is slower...
slower where?
off of the line?
yes...
if you don't do it right - you end up like the beginning of the post above...
b. but you quickly come back and add that the SRT8 has a higher top end...
let's put it this way - I have now "raced" 3 Mach 1's and have smoked every one of them...
dead stop & rolling start - the SRT8 is faster - plain and simple...
now throw on some upgrades and you'll come to the dark side...
we know you are already 3/4's there with us...
(as you went out and bought a SRT8)
let go of the mustang's - they'll still always be there - behind us usually...

CONGRATS AND WELCOME!!!
on your new purchase...
and like danrealtor said - it does get even faster as the motor is broken in...
Sincerely,

Anything would seem slower off the line if you're used to 4.30s.

What about the GT500?
The SRT team needs to kick it up a notch

true on the ratio...

after meeting Adam Forte at the March M&G
my guess would be that they put the 6.4L crate motor in something (300C, Charger, Magnum) and throw down the gaunlet to mathc or exceed the GT500...
or just wait until the Challenger comes out and offer an "optional 6.4L engine"...

LOL!

So let me get this straight. You say the Mach1 is faster off the line with 4.30 gears?...umm...dUH?! .... The SRT-8 pulls sub 5 seconds 0-60 weighing 4000lbs and with a 3.06 gear. That's DAMN impressive! Now go for a 80-150mph jaunt in the SRT-8 and come back and tell me which car you're more impressed with.

BTW: Just because your Mustang makes more noise, doesn't mean you're going faster.

Oh and...Welcome to the forums!
