Really? These are that fast stock? Please share your launch tips because that is flat out impressive!!
All that's involved is finding a suitable road with a grippy surface and a remote enough location so you can be repetitive! I made ten runs with my brother-in-law in the car running the G-tech. We ranged from low 5's to the mentioned 4.3. I honestly feel that the key is learning the rate at which to drop the pedal to the floor. You can't just hammer it, you have to smoothly and quickly move to the mat. Then you have to execute the 1-2 shift perfectly with that damned autostick delay.
Now that I've got it dialed in I can launch well on almost any road. Ther can be no imperfections or crap on the surface. These cars have a real traction-limited launch. When I get new tires I'll be even quicker as I will upsize and upgrade!

My Favorite "old car"... 73 Super Duty 455 Trans Am - 13.08 @109 mph when brand new! Just try and find one now!
So what happened to this guy? He did put new gears in his SXT, and the car freaked out. Is there something I"m missing? From what I understand, the car compares the ABS readings to trans readings to determine if theres excessive slipping. If you get out of range, the car freaks.

Thats why I asked about porgramming.
Charger-SXT's problem was that he used 3.62 gearing and his computer couldnt recognise that particular gear ratio, causing the conflict. As long as the gears are a ratio that the computer can understand, it shouldnt be a problem. There may be light at the end of the tunnel...
The computer will get confused. It not only looks at the wheel sensors but the input speed (i.e. engine rpm) to the transmission. If it doesn't match the calculated difference due to gearing, it will throw trouble codes and will throw you into limp mode.
GSMsales: Who's cars have you installed gears into? How long have they been driving with the new gears?
