Shake at idle

I've always noticed there's a slight shake to the car when I'm sitting at a red light or something, I just figured it was the big engine. My roommate went for a ride with me and said that doesn't feel right and I should check the spark plugs 'cause they might not be firing right. Anyone else have the same shaking going on? I don't even know how to check the plugs on this beast, lol.

Have you ever had a V-8, let alone a strong one?

Very often strong V-8s with pretty 'aggressive' cams have a bit of a 'lope' to them.

This is normal for both the 5.7 and the 6.1. If it was anything to worry about, your computer would let you know. Call it the cam my friend.

The important thing is, does it shake when quickly approaching 100 MPH? You bet it doesn't. Smooth as silk!!

Actually my car does shake when cruising at about 85mph - other than that yes, smooth as silk!

Holy crap!!

No wonder you’re not used to the feel of a V8!! Just think, there are tons of people out there that have never experienced a V8 and probably never will. They are amazing engines……welcome to the rumble!

Stop by and I'll let you feel a V10..........

You should ride in a car with a more aggressive cam and see what idle shake really is like.
