I forgot about that one as I have seen it before and commented on it. VVV 90, that would look beautiful on your Black Beauty! Looks mean, too.
I have always thought the best grill mod was painted vertical bars like that. Scarbrs (eric) my local buddy from Chicago did it and it looks great.
What I'll do is pick up the SRT badge and temporarily tack it to it. If it doesn't look right or too washed out I might ditch the chrome HE grill idea for a painted stock one.

I'm thinking about trying out a chrome HE grille with no emblem addition. I think it would go great with the chrome wheels.
HELL YEAH! That looks great! I was hoping someone did this! Driven2WIN, what do you afix it with?
Moose made a suggestion of using JBWeld and it sure sounds like Stan (Lik2race) used this also.
I actually think the blacked out vertical bars will look better with the SRT badge then what I plan on doing. I'm still glad to see that it fit nicely.
Where did you buy your badge from?
I bought the badge from a Dodge dealer in Tampa while I was there on business. Got it for around $25.
To apply the emblem, you must cut off most of the clip tongs that are sticking out on the back. Then scratch off parts of the chrome on the back of the emblem where it will make contact with the grill vertical bars. Also, scratch off the chrome and get down to plastic on the vertical bars where it comes in contact with the emblem. This will give it a good base to fuse onto. I used Loctite Plastic Epoxy. It sets in 7 minutes.
If you paint your grill, make sure that you prep well. Take your time and with a thin, good masking tape, mask the grill where you do NOT want to have the black paint. Use a 200-300 grit sandpaper to remove the silver paint and rough up the chrome that is underneath the silver paint. Spray a plastic primer on then after it is dry spray on your color coats. After two or three color coats, spray on a clear coat in what ever finish you would like: Satin or Gloss. After it is dry to the touch, take off your masking tape. Now is when to epoxy on the SRT emblem.
When completely finished, let it sit in the hot sun and bake for several days.
I let mine sit for two weeks in the Florida sun before I put it on the car so that the paint was fully cured.
It has held up extremely well for me. After several months of being beaten by bugs, it still looks the same as when I finished the project.
Freebirt - where in the world did you get that picture? It's mine (the picture, that is. Not the car). I'm surprised to see it with a photobucket url.
Now it is my picture. A long time ago I saw you or another member post them in a thread. I have quite a sweet picture collection of everything LX, challenger, etc. Saved on file. For inspiration, lol. I love this picture you have of your Silver SRT next to the SRT race car for comparison.

Excellent. I wondered if they came from this forum, or if they were already floating around elsewhere. I love the picture of the tubbed Magnum. Who's project was that? How is it progressing?
