I am at 11,500 and took mine to the stealership yesterday to inquire about the rotors. I had a copy of the TSB. The service writer made a photocopy of it and told me to come back on Thursday so that the service manager could put it on the lift and look at it. The service writer said he didn't want to make the call himself because the manager "doesn't like it" when they do warranty work without him approving it first.

This doesn't sound good. My rotors look similar to Eric's. We will see on Thursday if they will do the right thing.
I wont be going in for a month or so - my next trip to the dealer - to ask for the TSB, but I plan on asking nicely..."They changed everything for the 2007s, this current set-up is known for problems..." The dealership should be able to bill the hours to DCX and the parts are free - they should want to keep you/me happy. They don't have to send the rotors they take off the car into DCX right?

Eric

Well I certainly hope they approve your repair. There should be no excuse not to….plain and simple. Let us know the outcome. Good luck!

After an hour and a half of deliberation the stealership decided that they will do my rotors. Not the pads though. Monday or Tuesday.

Congratulations on getting the new rotors. Now are you going to be alright while they work on your beauty? We all know how you feel about “stealerships”…..take deep breaths and think happy thoughts. I hope it all goes well….keep us informed. Good luck!

Good good good...I'm waiting to go in and ask for mine, kind of hoping the "new" 1-2 tranny hesitation flash comes out so I can kill two birds with one stone. Plus I want to have some new pads ordered by then - again multitask.

The spare time becomes quite limited with a baby and all but I can get to the grocery store in record time!

I have almost 11,000 miles, and the dealer just changed the pads last week, because the brakes were squeeking. the rotors were all O.K. no grooves or scoring, I went and looked at them myself. the tech said they were an improved pad to stop the noise, and so far they are quiet! also, there seems to be much less dust.
