SRT8 Dyno

Yesterday I went to the dyno and the brake, ESP and BAS lights where on the dash. I did only one run since this happened to me. The car made 350rwhp 348 torque. I has the borla cat-back and the Injen intake. What should I do to tun the dyno without this problem? I think these numbers are too low.

You're a good 20-30 low on both numbers there. I'm not much help, how is are dealership and service guys, helpful? Would pulling the right fuses and resetting the computer help?

I am very confused. On 9/12 you mentioned installing the Borla and Injen and you thought you had low dyno numbers. Then you made a post on 11/22 that makes it sound like you just installed those components and were concerned about low dyno numbers. Then today you post you’re getting some lights on the dash with low dyno numbers.
I am confused about the chronology of events and what is happening with your ride. I apologize if this is coming off as being negative but it is confusing.

Several members offered some advice on how to reset things….did you try their advice on removing the fuse? Again I apologize I just want to try and clarify this so maybe you can get some help.

Very weird.. The numbers being off could be due to a host of variables though I unfortunately can't pin point the problem. It could even come down to the dyno operator or mechanical error with the dyno.. you just never know. Do you have another dyno nearby?

Well the truth is that I have 2 different dyno runs. I don't have a dyno run stock both are with the Borla and Injen. But you will see how the first graph is crazy and the one did yesterday is a bit better. The thing is that in both dyno runs those lights started flashing. I did everything you guys said and did not made any difference thats why i'm asking you to help me. Here are the 2 graph's. The first one is te older one and the one that is a bit crazy like I said the other one is the one I did yesterday and it was only one pull. Thank you for helping me and sorry for my bad english. Have a nice day.

Defo low. The lights come on normally after a run. Most of the cars at the San Diego Dyno run had the lights however, they reset after you drive away. I think a one turn down the road was enough for all the SRT’s there.

As for why your HP is low. You could have an air leak on your exhaust however, you would expect that to effect torque more than HP. My 100% stock SRT8 made 372 hp and about 370 Torque.

I guess the long and short of good tuning is to base line your car and add one bit at a time. Then and really only then can you fault find the low HP issue.

every dyno is different

As I work with more and more power guys and ask more questions I am finding that every dyno is different. Even the same brand installed at different locations can read different numbers. If you are trying to compare numbers to other cars they should all be measured on the same physical dyno.

it'd be nice if we had a modless baseline to work off of too.
