Talking 5.03sec 0-60 time...

ok. my buddy and his wife come over tonight and i took them out for a sprint down the road. warmed her up real good and come to a stand and got ready for the 0-60. I hadn't punched it hard from a stop yet so i didn't go WOT as to not smoke the tires. Basically got rolling then punched it. Result = 5.3x. Turned around and come to another stop, EVIC flashed "ready". I didn't stall up or WOT it but put liberal pedal pressure. Spun for just a second and then went WOT, resulted in a 5.03 second 0-60 time. Car has right about 900 miles on it so it's still a young one!!

MrHappy, what's your best time thus far? Any other guys with 07 cars?

SORRY no video. It was kind of last minute to take them for a ride and i forgot the camera inside. I'll get some tomorrow hopefully!!

EDIT: 5.08 sorry misread the evic; here is a pic of the recorded time on the EVIC

How do you get the EVIC to display 0-60 times?

Wow, nice time! I haven't done many (been raining and stupid work!) but mine was several 5.1's... still workin on gettin under 5 but I've yet to have a perfect launch so I' m not sweating it too bad.... hard to keep em from spinning. That, and the stretch I've been using is slightly uphill so I can't think that's helping any!

I think you two should be banned. In fact ANYONE who has a 2007 with this nifty 0-60 calculation in the evic should be banned; or at least when you post about it.
It is causing me a great deal of depression...

Actually, after thinking about this, the computer has all these data inputs, so this is a relatively easy addition to the computer output. I wonder if this is something that could be "flashed" to earlier EVICs?

If the ABS measures the speed of the front wheels, the 1/8 and 1/4 mile times could also be calculated.

Whatchathink?

lol, i'm completely stoked about this little 'tool' in the evic! It's like a game to see how fast i can get, or to break the 4.99 mark! I don't see why this wouldn't be a simply software update. To my knowledge they didn't add any new computer inputs so all the right ones have to already be online.. just need to be compiled into one with this nifty little 0-60 meter!!

Good luck on finding the answer to the update Q. I'd say simple software issue.. but more i'm not for sure!!

....did i mention this 0-60 timer is freakin cool!!!

Glad you came out of your funk long enough to do some clear thinking. This sounds very likely to work.

Yeah but the times would be better when measured by the rear wheels.

HA HA! Yeah, especially in the rain!

In fact, that 0-60 time could be reduced to about 2.5 seconds!

Trying to think clearly.... uh...

If you tested the 0-60 input during a burnout and hit 60 by the spinning rear tires and the readout didn't show a 0-60 time until later, it would indicate that the system IS measuring the front wheels.

ALRIGHT YOU TWO- You need to go out and do this for us! You owe it to us for causing this deep depression!
