Exclamation Scary and scared....... SRT-8 300C and Charger

Rolling this morning to go get a haircut at a friends house, I ran across a silver charger SRT-8.... That thing looked sweet, plus he had a pipe mod, so it sounded mean.

We gave each other a major thumbs up... rolling around at legal speeds, then I hit a red light, he was a few cars back.....WE WERE IN NO MEANS GOING TO RACE, WE WERE SEPERATED BY CARS, BUT I GAVE THE CAR SOME GAS AT THE GREEN AND GOT UP TO ABOUT 60-65 IN A 40 ZONE. I NOTICED I WAS COMING UP QUICK OF A BLACK un marked POLICE INERCEPTER. I quickly assumed legal speeds.... but now I had the charger behind me not knowing there was a cop in front of us.

I didnt know how to signal, to keep it "down" to the charger behind me so I kept speed limit..... I can tell the cop was keeping it slow, then my buddy in the charger switched lanes and got in front of me legally, by this time the cop was a few cars in front of us... Mistake by the chager was when he got in front of me he dashed in and out of lanes with full throttle, and the cop heard it, by the time charger guy noticed the cop it was too late, we where both stuck at a signal with the cop behind the charger, and me right next to the cop.......SCARY

Light turns green and we both go, I look over in the rear view and saw the unmarked cop calling it in....... he follows the charger for a bit then he swings behind me and calls me in......

Here comes the tricky part, me and charger turn on a street that will take us to the freeway, and there came a fork in the road......... I could either follow my charger brother on the freeway or take the other fork option... the cop could only follow one of us.....so I took the fork away from the freeway, and he contiued to follow the charger on the freeway.......

I wonder what happened to the charger........

Wow what a story of brotherhood and police terror! j/k all you ex-cops out there…I respect you all!
This story reminds me of when I was on my big summer drive vacation and I came up on a beautiful Maggie with a cute family driving. I passed them and the dude saw my rear and evidently knew what an SRT8 was. He came up beside me an did the thumbs up and even yelled….great SRT! He was very personable from what I could tell. I was running 80 + so Maggie got behind me to follow. My radar went off so I quickly reduced my speed to legal speed. I guess Maggie didn’t get the hint that trouble was ahead as he pulled around to pass. So I quickly rolled my window down and gestured to slow down. Just at that time we hit the speed trap. Maggie sees the troopers and quickly reduces speed even more. I was hoping we got by without any trouble. We did. He later pulled up next to me and yelled thank you. He followed me for half the state of Georgia. Nice to try and help a fellow brother along.
