Park/Neutral Rev. Limiter

Sitting in a parking lot friday night someone asks to "Hear that thing" so i give it some gas. It has the shut off at 4K RPM. I was unaware that the SRTs had this. I know GM has used it for a while on a lot of their vehicles. Is this on all SRTs or new for 07 or am i just out of the loop on this ... 'feature'

thanks guys
Justin

My 06 C has a cut off... might be closer to 3k I think, not 100% sure though. It's rather annoying when you're trying to show off to your buddies.

Next time to impress just turn off ESP and do some smokey doughnuts in the parking lot. They’ll be impressed for sure!

If my car is in park, I can floor it and it only revs to 3500rpm.

Guys free revving an engine does more damage to it they you can possibly imagine. Our engines are designed to be under stress...........Free revving will and does do damage to rods and mains...........
