Thumbs up 121 MPH @ Speedworld Today Normally Aspirated!

We have been blessed with cold air here in AZ recently.

Today I ran into a few familiar faces at Speed World.

I ran 121 MPH at the track in my Normally aspirated SRT-8 today with no NOS or any other "Power Adders"!

How?

I just kept my foot in it way past the end of the 1/4 mile!

I left it in 3rd gear until it hit the rev limiter at 121 mph. I am looking into smaller diameter drag radials (to keep up with Meister) and wanted to see how much room I have before the 3-4 shift. Plenty o' room!!!

Very nice run Dan! Moose himself has stated that once he gets started that he doesn’t want to take his foot out of it at the end of the ¼. So you didn’t….sounds like fun to me. Now how many sets of drag radials are you going to go through a month?

Too bad they're not clocking you past the end of the 1/4. :P
I wish I was there to see it for myself. Ah, well, maybe next time.

Post like this are why I enjoy hangin out with you. When we went to Willow you told me come out of 9 go into the front straight and don't hit the brake for 1 until you hit 125. What you failed to tell me is that, by that point I almost past 1 and went into the kitty liter.

Did you start off in "D" and then manually bump it into 3rd or auto stick it from the start?
