need advice

took my wifes car to a dealer to have the rotors replaced . they were going to fix the rear facia also and the ash tray. and do 9000 mile service. car went in on wed afternoon got a rental drove home 2.5 hrs. they were going to call when they knew what work they were going to be doing.call them friday moring they said they got in all parts except the ash trayit would be put in sat moring i could pick the car up sat afternoon. we got there at about 2:30 wife took back the rental by the time she got back i found out NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE TO THE CAR to make a little shorter got the rotors and pads installed and ash tray and they changed the oil. we stop to get diner i look at the recipt and saw they had put in 5-20 oil pt# 4761872-ac 8 qts . put in supreme oil additive pt#64328 so this moring i went and got the right oil 0-40 new filter and went to a freinds shop took the belly pan off and noticed red fluid coming out of the pass side rack & pinion steering boot oh what service

Good grief sounds like you took your car to the “Stooges Car Clinic!” That is ridiculous service! They do nothing, and then put the wrong oil in her…. I would be razing some hell with that service manager. There is no excuse for that kind of treatment.

Now the red fluid is this tranny fluid? There is the “O” ring repair that has been talked about. Would this have any relation to what you’re seeing? Here are some links. I wish you luck and keep us posted on what happens.

What is this 9000 mile service? I have 22k miles and the only thing I've done is oil besides the TSBs.

Check your service record book. There are quite a few things that they should check but probably don't. This is my first new car so I've been taking it to the deal for all the services, working on getting a good relationship going with them so hopefully they won't care too much when I bring it in with a few mods on it, lol.
