Dropped the car off at the dealership

Below are a list of issues I wanted addressed, I will provide the results at the end of the day when I pick the car up!

Brakes squeaking, I gave them a copy of the TSB 05-005-05

Brake rotors are grooved and I now have a vibration in the steering wheel when braking, I gave them a copy of the TSB 05-006-06

WOT shift point needs to be lowered from 2nd to 3rd gear. Under WOT the car hits redline/Rev limiter in the 2-3 shift.

ESP and ESP/ABS light has come on 3 times when sitting/idleing. Car has to be restarted to reset.

I also stated that it has a slight vibration between 81-83 MPH while cruising on the Highway. The service adviser told me that the speed limit was 70 and they wouldn't be able to duplicate that. I'm good with them not duplicating that, I also don't want them to duplicate the WOT shift issue from 2-3rd (which BTW would also be over 70 mph) I just want the shift point lowered and the tires checked for balence, the rotors swapped, brake pads changed, and I'll be back if the vibration continues!

I have anxiety now

Expect your car to be test flogged. There are too many stories of stealerships wrecking cars, just not good sense to leave it, unless there is no alternative. Pls follow up on the light indicator, curious to see what that issue is.

The esp/bas light coming on at idle happened to me once but I now remember that I was sitting in a parking lot talking on the phone getting directions from someone. Reason I mention this is because the car was not in park. It was in drive and I had my foot on the brakes (of course). That probably has something to do with it. If you're just sitting at idle in neutral, foot off brake, that would be a different story, I suppose. Just some food for thought...

Good luck with everything.

Dan

I'm with ya on leaving it Ken. Problem is I don't have a day to spend. I take down the milage, voice my issues and hope for the best. If there is an issue when I overlook the car at the end of the day then I will deal with that.

Nice cars!!

We have a "C" and the same thing has happened while sitting with foot on brake for a long period, engine running.

Good luck with your problems

Well way to scare him Ken...

I'm sure everything will be fine. Good luck with the repairs. I don't think I've read much about the 2-3 shift problem. Is this in drive or autostick?

Eric

Well, guess it's too late to take a picture of the service area's parking lot? Any extra rubber marks are probably from your car. (Unfortunately I had that experience).

Be sure to examine your car very carefully (hopefully in the light) when you pick it up and pay particular attention to the wheels cause they seem to be getting scratched as well by some techs. I found a 2 inch scratch below my drivers side mirror after one service visit and of course I cound not prove it after I had the car at home. Hopefully you have one of the good service depts working on your car. I had the rotor TSB done at the dealer and then ordered the Centrix posi-quiet pads from Dr. Z to resolve the dust issue.
Good luck and let us know the outcome.
