Yeah, I thought I saw those but kinda liking the idea of keeping my stockers away from the horrible salt...on days like today.... I'm looking out for the SRT8 Cruelty Society coming to take my new car away for what she's going through today. (12"+ so far and counting) YIPES!

But would you save anything having to have them remounted every year? Also, the more snow tire between the rim and the road the better IMO.

On the other hand, nothing better than the stock wheels for looks IMO.

I just installed Pirelli Scorpio's on 18" SA ST3 rims from Tire Rack on my SRT8. Had to get the sensors too. Pic below.

No snow yet, but the tires drive nicely, for winter tires. Quiet and stable. Less grippy on hard throttle from stop. I can definitely tell the difference in the ride-somewhat softer and numb when compared to the stock low profile tires. But will protect a lot better from the Boston potholes.

I chose the Pirellis because most of the time there is no snow on the roads, so I wanted the better and quiter ride of the Pirellis instead of the snow power of Blizzaks. I've had Blizzaks before on RWD cars and they are incredible tires in the snow, but they are terrible on dry road-noisy, poor handling and lousy in the rain. If I were in Maine or points north, then I think I'd go with the Blizzaks.

As for cost justification, the rims were about $800 and the sensors $200. If I kept the car 3 years I'd pay $100 for each mount and remount, or $600. But since at the end I should be able to sell them for a few hundred bucks, seems like a wash to me and I get less wear on stock tires and rims in the deal.

Oh, now I have a spare (stock) tire in the trunk!
