Talking I devoured this Audi TT Quattro...

This is my first post and I hope you all enjoy this after I've had weeks of fun forum surfing (at work)..., THE TIME CAME, tonight on my way home from work when this geeky idiot driving an Audi TT Quattro 3.2 decides to ride my ass along one of Dubai's infamous lethal desert highways. Now for those of you who don't know about the roads here, its either you're stuck in chock block traffic where only anarchy rules OR you are doing 90 - 100mph speeds along side Ferraris, Porsches, and Range Rovers all whilst dodging third world drivers going 40 in the left two lanes because in their countries that's the 'slow' lane. I am no stranger to either, i'm from Orange County =).

Ok, so back to this idiot wearing his suit and tie and sunglasses all at dusk... gimme a break, it's Thursday evening which is the start of the weekend here and nobody continues to wear their suit jacket in the car while driving home from work AND this highway only heads to a residential community in the middle of nowhere sand - sadly i live there. Secondly, sunglasses at dusk? Is it an Audi thing? Thirdly, i remembered that the TT is too cramped for the luxury of a jacket hook in the rear of the side pillar (i bet many of you never noticed that we DO indeed have one and that if you hang your jacket there you probably won't be able to see anything else outside our side windows since they're cut so short).

Ok, back to the idiot... I let him pass me as we approach a huge roundabout. We enter the roundabout now with my grill filling up his rearview mirror... then back onto the straight stretch BOOOF, we gun it... the thrust of the SRT8 shocked me and i almost drove straight up over him... luckily I swung to the lane just right of him and what-do-ya know? I pass him entirely in about 3 seconds while simultaneously rotating my head left left left till my 8 o'clock just where about my neck stopped. The look on his face was utterly classic. He had both hands on the steering wheel, face sternly looking forward but with "i'm being eaten" written all over it. That's not all. I managed a gap of about 3 car lengths on him when i remembered a speed camera up ahead, in which I slowed down... Audi TT thinks he's catching up and FLASH he get's smacked with a fine.

ON a final note in case you Audi TT bone head driver are reading this... I have double the liter's on you, 175 more horsepower, and a BIGGER shoe size (an I ain't talking about my 20-inch wheels, i'm talking about my Steve Madden loafers on the srt gas pedal). Have a great weekend!

hahaha great kill!!! Welcome to the forums. Having spent some time in the Middle East I know exactly what you are talking about with the driving. I had to put my HMMWV into the side of a truck out there because he was trying to but in on my convoy. Can't say I blame him for trying because he was passing on a blind corner two lane road and a semi was coming up fast. Lucky I didn't have my gunner put a few rounds in his tailgate first.

Lets see some pics of the ride!

~snicker~

I had some guy butt into my convoy three times in 2003 in a really old 7-series (badged) bimmer...after forcing him out the first two times, we bumped him with the 10-ton that he kept getting in front of...no shots fired, of course, and minor damage to his rear bumper...but the retard actually followed us to our work site (cleaning out an old Iraqi army ammo dump before Usama and his boys got around to doing it for us) and demanded compensation. Hell, I'd think that being crowded out twice was warning enough! Eventually, he left with a phone number for...get this..."Captain Michael Jordan", our "claims officer" ~shrug~ What can I say, I'm a nice guy. I coulda jailed him for interfering in a military operation....he was [u]very[u] disruptive. Those were different times...any time after the summer of 2003, he probably wouldn't have had the guts to play chicken with a convoy...and probably would have been shot (at?) if he did.

Lol, I would've roughed him up at the very least. I've done more to people that did less out there. This guy ran off the opposite side of the road. I had my gunner eye him so I don't he was too keen on trying to follow us. When we were over there it was still pretty hostile, this was the VERY beginning of the war. We were under strict orders not to let our convys get broken up. We had a guy get in at a light and i made my guys get out and make him get the hell outta there while a few more of us were on crowd control for the kids that were mobbing our trucks. Sucks having to point your rifle at little kids, but better that than lose some guys to an IED or suicide bomber.

Well, this incident was in the lull between the end of the real war and when things started getting nasty in the late summer. We were fully in "be nice" mode...I believe DOD deleted that option from all jarheads starting in model year 1775...

Hahaha. Agreed.

So back on subject, excuse us Devil Dogs for the hijack, what is the speed limit where that camera is? Cause I recall it usually being whatever your car topped out at around there. Maybe not so much on the 6th Ring though, a few cops out there if I remember correctly.

I beat a V8 S4 from a stop to 120 on PCH, he took off first to i dident know he wanted to race , i also had 3 people in the car listening to game and he was moded with exhaust and it sounded like some other engine stuff, He was makin all his shifts and looking over at me while some girls are in the back goovin to the music and me and my freind up front were looking and laughin at him as we pull away... This is why i love my 300c so much i was stunntin on 22s and walked him... then the next day some sick guy with a child in the back of his drop top s4 raced me 3 times from a stop to 80 , we both had automatic so the same thing happend every time, i would get a little in front of his hood off the line then just slowley pull untill 40 and i would be goneeeee it was a fun S4 weekend
