I'd call that significant though. It clearly states in the last paragraph...it you have the floaties - flush it! Here's your free chance everybody!!! It doesn't state anything about new reservoirs though which is something that should be considered. Notice how they include basically every vehicle they make.
I wonder if I should ask for a $100 refund that I was charged for my flush last December, it should be in their computer, right?.
Eric
I think you should! They should refund you that money...When I worked at Ford, we would refund the customer in these cases.
There is another Team SRT Q&A chat session coming up on April 18th - forum TBA. This issue will be brought up then. Might ask them if this should have been considered a warranty item.
Was anything mentioned about this at the April 18th chat?
Yep, they said that if you exhibit these symptoms, take it in, have your guys call the zone rep, and he should authorize a flush and fill and resivoir replacement if needed.
I'm kind of wondering the same thing myself. It's starting to get hot enough out that I'm going to stick with the stock thermostat a little while to see if I can cook this batch of coolant and get floaties again. Right now I think I'm still clean after my flush back in December. I'm glad I did it shortly after I noticed the floaties instead of waiting for a while.
You have to wonder, was it just a bad batch of coolant or does the 6.1 run too hot for this antifreeze? Or was it some water pump lubricant that had a bad reaction? I have seen this on other Chryslers(this is happening to more people than just the SRT owners)so it makes me wonder if it could be the water pump lubricant. Chrysler could have a big problem on their hands, it just took a while for them to make cars worth looking under the hood again to get someone to notice. Again, the tech that flushed mine said they see it all the time - especially on Jeeps - but they also haven't seen long term problems because of it...which is kind of hard to believe.
I don't know if I should add the protectant or not or get one more flush just to be safe???
Eric

I think I would because it has the lubricant and a protectant in it. The thing is you will have to replace the coolant again. If it was just a flush additive then i wouldn't, but because it has a lubricant you should IMHO.
