On a personal note, here's how my jug looks at 11,400 miles...approx 10000 miles after the initial flush and it does not have the additive. I'm pleased but still will push for one more flush and refill with additive - and then try to get the $100 back that I paid to have it flushed last December. Wish me luck!!!

Eric... be sure to print and take the dealer document posted by Resume Speed in this thread - Bulletin: Engine Coolant Check.... And "remind" them that you were way ahead of the fame 11k miles ago... didn't get the additive... and would like your $100 refunded...

Bring donuts... and if they don't agree... don't give 'em any!

The fix made a HUGE difference in the efficiency of my cooling system! Now my car will go below 219 after it's fully warmed up.

What is the proper way of flushing the cooling system? Would like to flush and fill with Zerex G-05. Do I need to add the Zerex Additive ?

Thanks

I realize the last time anyone touched this post was nearly a year ago, but wanted to bump it up and say that I'll be into the dealer on Friday for this particular coolant RRT.

Looking forward to seeing how it turns out after the flush.

I got to spend a little time at Power Ported Performance last week getting tuned, it's a car lover's heaven over there. Anyway, check out some of the coolant passages on stock HEMI blocks that they have pulled while doing swaps.

The powder is packed in there tight! Now we of course don't know what they are actually like while pressurized and heated regularly on a running SRT8, but it's definitely not like this for other motors.

wow

man, am I glad this has never been an issue for my motor.

I don't care what the manufacturer says, all that particulate can't be a good thing!
