Any room for negotiation on 07 300c SRT8?

Went into local dealer to check out 2007 300C SRT8. Sales person said I will not get this car for under sticker...

Anyone here pay under Sticker for this car?

Should I wait?

This guy wont even give me a first free oil change!

Try and find an '06 or wait till model year end. Dealers dont have to deal as much for '07 in Dec 06, they got a whole year to sell it.

Well they will move but wait until right before the end of the year as in December 30/31 around closing time. They will sell an 07 unit at a decent price to make their yearly numbers

With all of this unsold inventory clogging up the parking lots of dealerships I really don’t see how they can say that. 6 months ago yes, but not now. My dealership has 3 06’s that he is letting go in the $39-$40 range.

They’ll deal or they’ll sit on the lot and rust. No way should you pay over sticker now days. Good luck!

Ditto. Our local dealer has 4 brand new '06's (one bright silver) with every option except rear DVD for under $40K each...

The deal you get, or can't get, is largely dependent on where you live. Back in 2004 when I was looking for my car all the local dealers in the San Francisco bay area all had big markups over MSRP, usually $10k over MSRP. And they wouldn't budge. Southern California dealers were doing the same thing.
At the same, there were other forum members that lived in other states that were easily getting 300's for MSRP and less.

Ordering a car might also get you a better deal if the dealer is short on SRT8 2007's.

1500th post:

I bought mine on January 2, 2006. That counted as part of 2005 for Chrysler's bookkeeping -- it was the very last day of course. I negotiated the deal over the phone around Christmas then went drove a couple hundred miles to buy the car. By the way, my car was built in November 2005 as a 2006 model.

When we got up there to the dealership, there it was in the showroom. Boy it was pretty. And for the past year, it's been mine!
