B&G Flash for 6.1

Anyone have this B&G Flash on there SRT8? Curious to know how well it works and if any problems with it going into limp mode?

Yes............and yes ..I have it and am loving it !!! but I have hit limp mode twice(the car that is ) . Once I must have inadvertantly been in first , hit limp......shut it down and re-start.no problem . Second time..at the track......did my 5 second burn ....line up...green light...WTF....LIMP !!!! I either hit 1rst again (instead of D) or hit the limiter during my burnout ?? Still not sure but boy did that suck . No other problems . Great thing is you keep your stocker....so if you don't like it ....you can simpily swap it back and sell it . You wont be selling it though..trust me . Are you doing the TCM flash as well ? Both of them for a little less than a grand would sure make a nice stocking stuffer !!!! Can't attest to individual gains because it was done with my porting....but the car is a friggin animal......Good Luck...... -Mike

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the input! but the TCM flash. What exactly is that and how do I go about getting it done. I heard you have to bring it back to the dealer? Did they give you a problem? And sorry, I more thing where do you install the B&G? Don't know where it is?

Josh at HHP did the flashes for me The B & G PCM flash goes under the plastic grill (hood open , left side closest to the windshield ) Two plastic pop rivets hold it on .The Heat TCM flash is a tranny flash .Higher shift points , firmer shifts ....just plain awsome . Call Joshua / HHP at 1-302-894-1115 . Cool guy to talk to ..knows his stuff....will take the time to explain it in detail to you .

Love the B&G flash and have yet to go into limp, although my style of driving is likely more conservative than some on this forum, particularly those that modify. I just ordered the GSM TCM yesterday and hope to have it in in a couple of weeks (have to go to the dealer to get the VIN flashed as I understand it). I think there is definitely room for improvement with the transmission, even after the B&G flash and beg to differ with Jeremy on this (Jeremy helped me get my B&G by the way and think he's a great guy). Why don't you just try the B&G first, then decide for yourself? Good luck.
