While I have not experienced the shift hesitation issue, have seen it over and over on the forum. Here is a cut and paste from previous thread that appeared to resolve the issue for the owner, might be worth a try:

The easiest way to get the car to stop doing that is to occassionally (weekly) reset the ECM throttle memory by doing the following:
1) put Key in on position without starting car
2) press accelerator al the way down for 2 seconds
3) release, turn key OFF
4) Start and go. You have just told the ECM to forget what it has learned about your driving habits, for now.
I think these are the correct steps. I will check the service manual later and correct this post if necessary...
Hey Guys,
Just an update. I tried the simple fix that Roadwing1 listed above and made 3 quick runs up through third to just over 100mph. I left the transmission in drive and the ESP on. I had NO problems with 1-2 shift at WOT. Like I stated earlier, it had gotten much worse on my car. Evidently this "reset" helped. When the hesitation apears again, I will just reset the car again.

Thanks for the help

No. That just resets the throttle position sensor.

I've been waiting for this one as well, for what seems forever now. Thought the B&G flash would be more of a help, as some of the LX folks said it had eliminated the problem . . . not the case, just moves you through the hesitation more quickly, but doesn't eliminate it all together. I'm having Scott/GSM put on their new TCM this weekend, hopefully I'll say goodbye to the hesitation forever after that, can't wait, cause the hesitation is a pain in the butt and my single worse complaint about this car.
Yes, but if it means getting an emasculated car (autostick shifts like 5.7 does-no offense ) then I don’t think I want the TSB. I don’t have it happen that much to me anyway.

On tonight's SRT chat session they gave a target date of December 22nd - yes, of this year. From SRT:
We know we owe you detailed information on the LX SRT8 1-2 shift hesitation TSB.
The target date to have the TSB out is 12/22. We were not able to get the TSB number for you for this chat session, as it hasn’t been assigned one, yet.
The issue (in drive as well as autostick) is that the engine accelerates faster than the transmission controller can anticipate when the shift can occur. The solution was to rewrite the software. Because we changed the calibration, we had to ensure that we did not adversely affect any other portion of the transmission calibration, which means electronic validation of the Transmission Control Module needed to be performed by our German supplier.
The shift speed for the SRT8 is and has always been 40% quicker (300 vs 500ms) than the Hemi equipped LX. The TSB will not affect the shift speed. The TSB calibration will eliminate the "comfort step" in the shift sequencing by pre-filling the 2nd gear clutch. This allows the shift to commence slightly sooner. This change may be perceived by the customer as a slightly bumpier WOT shift or an increased "Kick-in-the-ass” factor. Although it has been a long and painful wait, the end result is the issue is fixed.
Please note that a reflashed vehicle can not return to the previous calibration.
The auto-upshift feature has been incorporated in this change because it is more consistent than the driver. Everyone frequently hits fuel shutoff trying to time the 1-2 shift in autostick. The tach has some lag. It takes time to execute a shift. Nothing happens instantaneously. The TCM calculates when to start the shift process in order to execute the shift at the proper RPM. It was a hard decision to change this feature, but we think we made the right one for our customers.
It’s that last paragraph that will cause many to choke.
No kidding. . . that's gonna be interesting. . . I guess it's better than missing a shift point, rev limiter, or fuel shut off, especially when smoking a mustang or other poor sap.

So does this mean that if we dont shift then the car will shift itself?
