BTW: My engine serial number is TNXE613352XXXX and my car's build date was 7/1/2005, just to give you an idea. Looks like the fix was already incorporated into my engine. I've never heard a whine (at least from my car).

My build was 9/2005 and I hear it all the time, usually after some spirited driving heats up the oil. Doesnt bother me but it is there for sure.

I'm wondering if the serial sequence should be read from the last 6 digits, like TNXE6026 620001...?? We'll have to see what some of the numbers are for people that have the issue and those that do not.

52XXXX = July 2005
52XXXX = December 2005
