Well mine is doing it in the cold winter months, so what is the answer for this?
The answer is Don't worry about it; it is not detrimental as stated in the TSB. It's just a characteristic of the engine design with the oil squirters.

Yeah I got it. Just being sarcastic.

I was worried that when I bought a different viscosity oil something would happen to my motor and Mopar would say it was the fault of the oil. They can be...particular..about those things. I am glad I saw this post, I actually think I can get other viscosities (spelling?) cheaper than I cna get 0-40, and it rarely gets below 30 in GA, this past week notwithstanding.
Hehehe...right in the manual it says you can use 5w40 if you're sure it won't reach some ridiculous temperature like 40 below where you live...that covers about 80% of the globe and 98% of the world's population, right?
Anyway, the only mobil 0ne synth I see around here is the 0w40...dunno where you'd get the 15w50 or 5w40...other than at the dealership during a $100 oil change...say! Waitaminit!!! Maybe that's the reason for a TSB for a non-issue...?

I dont really notice a whine. However, second oil change the dealer put in a 30 weight after I deliberately reminded them of the 0 - 40 synthetic ! But the kid that brought out the car, I asked him and he admitted it was 30 but "no problem" he says ! So now the next day it was cold, like 35 degrees, and a slight tick, like a lifter at start up. So took the car back to the dealer and got the recommended oil put back in. I suppose I am just telling folks that while we can evidently use the 15 - 50 synthetic instead of the 0 - 40, dont get to thinking that any oil will due in the 6.1, I experienced that for a day and noticed quickly the difference. Hey, watch out for these dealerships too, you really have to pay attention to what is going on with your car, nobody cares about it like you do.

Great information, as usual, RS!
TNXE613352XXXX is my engine. The car was built the last day before a 2 week plant closure... the engine was built on FRIDAY May 13th.
So far...so good! So much for superstition!
