Got my new Dyno numbers.

Ok guys, here are the results from todays tuning and dyno session.

First I would like to thank Scott (GSM) for flying out to NM to tune the beast, and Chris (Dyno Edge) for giving up half of his Saturday to open his shop and use his Dyno....

After it is all said and done, we dyno'd a 540rwhp with 524rwt at 8.5lbs boost.

I know, these numbers were not what I was hoping for in the begining, but after some discussions with Chris and Scott, I now understand what stroking and lowering the compression does.

I learned that when the compression is lowered the engine actually loses HP. Go figure, However, by upping the boost, will compinsate for the compression loss.

8.5lbs??? Since the dyno is in an enclosed area, air is little and does not represent the actual street air thus losing some boost. The good news is that I actually gain HP when driving in open air. Woo hoo....

After we left the Dyno I was hitting my 10lbs and the beast was moving out like a fricken rocket. lol Scott soiled my seats a few times. lmao

All in all, I am extremely happy with the results of the new tune and fuel delivery system and can not wait to get to the track.

The TCM did not make it via FedEx today, so I will need to wait until I get back from Ohio to install. Scott will be leaving his StarScan with me so that I can do the install myself. It is a pretty straight forward application and can not wait to have it in. I will post my evaluation on the newest version TCM next weekend. Sorry.

Now, if I can only get my traction issues resolved (come on Nitto)...........

and...

nice to see someone doing it right. Expensive, but worth it.

If you set that bad boy up right, a little squirt of water and methanol could really help. I've seen Nitrous used to fatten it up a little too if your motor can handle it. You really should be able to get that boost up a little higher if that motor is set up right and that centifugal can supply it.

I'd want EGT readings from each individual header tube before I would be satisfied. Despite what some people say, this is uncharted waters and we will all be watching quite carefully.

Good luck!

Maybe I missed it but what are the specifics of your new tune and fuel delivery system?

Thanks - Joshua

Great numbers, congrats! So it's you that has the StarScan. Just got my TCM from them yesterday, but now I have to WAIT and take it to the dealer to get the vin number flashed into it. I guess the stroker and a SC wasn't enough, you had to take the StarScan too, thanks bud .

Joshua,

oops, sorry I thought I posted the fuel delivery.

We are using an MSD boosta pump converter. I was running out of fuel at 4500 rpms. The addition of MSD has allowed us to lower the secondary injectors while increasing voltage to the factory injectors for more fuel. Man, the system works great. Was very easy to install. Took me about 45 minutes total once I got the pinout from the fuelpump.
