January '06, California Speedway, Fontana CA, Private Track Day:

I was there to run my 06 300C SRT-8 with Magnaflow Cat Backs, my only mod at the time.

I got to run head to head with John from GSM with his matchng Black 300C SRT-8, oh, but he's got a supercharger. I got off the line first then, WHOOOOOOSH, he goes by me. His 11.99 to my 13.04.

Next run, I line up wth a Black Mustang GT (good looking car) I had no idea what to expect, but I knew I wanted to represent so, I was ready, no red light for me, then...

My 13.04 (again) to his 14.14. it wasn't even close, I walked him bad. He wouldn't even look in my drection on the way back to the pits. I did go see his car a little bit later (I didn't mention what I was driving) and it was a bone stock 2006 Mustang GT.

So, a 300C should be about dead even, a driver's race in my opnion. On the road, I love seeing them (especially on the freeway) my favorite is to come up next to one in "D", then about 65-67 mph, grab 2nd and, SEE YA! The look on the driver's faces is priceless!

i've raced a few new body style mustangs latly!
ROUSCH stange 2 - up till 60 it was even then he walk on me
GT #1 - just a steady even pull the whole time i took him bye about 1 lenght
GT #2 - at least modded exhaust, but we teased eachother from the light, by the time we went wot he took me by 1 around a wide turn, he was on the outside

The best GT you can kill is the Hertz rent a racecar Mustang GTs.. the people driving think they have a fast car and when you destroy em they just drop their jaws

Yeah I think the 300 hp Mustang GT and my 5.7 "C" would be a fair race due to the weight difference; I tried to get one to run me from a light but he wouldn't even look over and make eye contact..... either he had no idea what a 300C was and thought he'd be wasting his time, or he knew exactly what it was and didn't want to get embarrased......

niiiiiiice gotta love it when you show up the mustang owners..they think they so tough!

i had a GT kill wit my AWD when it was stock...only one time was it dead even. that time i started with esp on, and when the light turned i simply just mashed the pedal..no "pre rev" or whatever you would like to call it. every other time i killed the GT.

the gt was also a manual

Congratulations on a nice kill Eric….and he was with is girl! Oh the pain and the embarrassment. Can’t you just hear their conversation? Maybe something like this:

Guy: Haha…look honey. There is one of those 300's that thinks he can take me on.

Girl: Oooh baby. Show him what it means to play with the big boys…he’s driving a four door sedan for Pete’s sake!

Guy: I know baby…it’s an old man’s car…just as soon as this here light turns green I’ll sure show him.

Girl: Ohhhh baby….this makes me so hot when you talk like that! When you’re done showing him who is boss I’ve got something real special for you.

Light turns Green:

Guy: WTF was that…..oh man….chit….damn can that sucker move…what’s he got in that thing.

Girl: Way to go looser. Now we’ll be laughed at all over town. You can forget about that surprise. In fact I want my ring back. I’m going out with Biff instead….he has a bigger motor that won’t go limp on demand. Let me out here!!
