Electric Jack and SRT8 spare tire in the trunk - pictures

2 ton jack...came with a storage case.

Here is a picture of the jack all the way down, next to the rocker panel. Looks like clearance might be tight if a tire was flat.

Here is the jack laid on its side, if needed you could lay it on its side (for more clearance) to slide it under the car then set it up right.

Here it is under the car.

----All these pictures were taken at the Driver's front wheel area.

Yeah yeah yeah, the car is dirty...it has been raining the last couple of days...

Sick set up SSpray.

Please post the link to where you got the jack from. No manual jacking anymore. Will come in handy for the long trip to Spring Fling in 07. This jack will come in very handy at the track as well to swap out for the drag radils, and not sweat as much.

I carry an SRT spare like you do for long road trips already, with a manual jack, that comes in a case the size of your jack as well.

Do they make any smaller/shorter in height jacks?

Is the tire and jack secured in the trunk? What's to stop those items from going through the back of your head in an accident? Do the back seats in the SRT "lock" in place?

SSpray-
GREAT JOB!
Is that an SRT8 wheel? edit: duh... read the subject line.
I now have a tub velcro'd to the carpet in the place you set the wheel. It occurs to me that a plastic liner inside that rim would make a great bin too.
Have you figured a way to secure the wheel in place?

Nice set up SSpray! Glad to see you went ahead and pulled the trigger on this purchase. Looks mighty sweet. Like your set up for the spare in the rear as well….Dave Z’s spare looks great! I want to do the same for my longer trips. That jack sure beats the hell out of a manual. I know you were shopping around at a few different places…so where did you end up getting it from?

Very Sweet!!
The only thing that would be cooler would be to have jackposts mounted inside the body like an F1 car!

I ordered it from generatordepot.us for $79.99 FREE shipping.

That is the lowest profile one I could find that was still a 2 ton jack.

I have not figured a way to secure the wheel yet, other than its own weight and cramming the jack and a Sam's bag next to it, so it can not slide from side to side.
I have it pressed all the way up against the back of the rear seat, to cut down on any sliding forward momentum to give it less energy to break down the rear seat in the event of something really bad.

EDIT: link to jack...

Sweet setup.

Did you check to see if the wheel would find down next to the battery if you removed that styrofoam inlay? It's probably too big, but it would be sweet if it did.
