I loved the experience at Laguna 2 weeks ago but wish the price was still $300. I could almost guarantee I'd be a repeat customer but at $500 it's just too pricey to pay for 2 people to do.

I did the very first SRTE back in Daytona 2005. There was only one privately owned SRT8 there. The rest were Ram SRT10’s and SRT4’s. No one had seen the SRT8…it was such a rush to finally see one. We were a little disappointed that we didn’t get to go on the big oval, but hey…there was so much other stuff going on it was minor. My friend and I drove almost 5 hours to participate in that event and I tell you we would have done it again in a heartbeat. RTP SRT8 is the first one I’ve heard say they were disappointed. (I hope you take Jeff up on his offer and contact him.)

It did seem they were genuinely interested in everyone have a great experience. The time was most memorable! I look forward to their new schedule as I still have not used my prepaid event from my car.

At $500 it's still less than the cost of a new set of tires. Plus the tips from world class instructors. I'm uber excited for this year! Pricey or not. WOOHOO! Bring on SRT TE '07!!

I've done 2, one in the fall of 2005, and last spring, both at the Laurens facility, and loved them both. My input is that if Laurens is used again, use the wet skidpad again, that rocked way more than the dragstrip deal. I can launch my car 0-60 all day long, a safe place to wring the car out with all three ESP modes and a skilled instructor next to me is something that isnt easy to come by.

Not to mention to blast is was to ride backseat for the other guys runs, wheeeeeeee!!!!!!

I would have to agree that skidpad or lane-tosses would be more useful than the drag/slalom module.

Note, wet skidpad. Since this is Michelins NA tire testing facility, its got neat stuff like that. Looks like this, although its much crazier in the car, this shot doesnt convey the sheer amount of water is deluging you, trying to throw your awareness off.

Michelin Tire Testing - Tech - Sport Compact Car Magazine

One older gent, a Vietnam vet in his 60s, found it too intense, he had to call it quits

The second time, we didnt get to do it, we got the drag/slalom, still fun, but not as exciting as trying to get quick without losing it.
