Note, wet skidpad. Since this is Michelins NA tire testing facility, its got neat stuff like that. Looks like this, although its much crazier in the car, this shot doesnt convey the sheer amount of water is deluging you, trying to throw your awareness off.
One older gent, a Vietnam vet in his 60s, found it too intense, he had to call it quits
The second time, we didnt get to do it, we got the drag/slalom, still fun, but not as exciting as trying to get quick without losing it.
Already noted... just one of my attempts at cutting syllables ergo leading to a more long winded explanation.
Sucks they didn't bring it back to you guys the second time around. That's one of my dream experiences.
I can hardly wait to try out this SRT Experience. I just purchased an SRT8 and had many cars with plenty of horse power. This SRT8 get's up there in MPH quickly. I would like to get a better feel of it's potential before I take a turn too fast.

Hey Undertheradar,
Where did you get your rear window spoiler?
On the subject of the Track Experience, they are UNBELIEVABLY fun. I did Heartland Park in Topeka, KS and had a total blast. When I did mine the SB instructors were already rumbling that they may lose the contract for '07. They were a fun group of guys. Hope the next group is as good, because I will definitely pay out of pocket to do it again in '07.
If you're still checking up on this thread Jeff, I would like to voice the same opinion of many others... THE DRAG/SLALOM CONE PORTION IS LAME. Can ya'll pleeeeease replace it with something more mo' betta? Also, please pass on to the corporate bean counters that these events ad real value and build brand loyalty. Heck, when I left mine I suddenly realized that I couldnt live without a GCSRT8 in addition to my CSRT8!

I had posted a response on this thread previously, dragging the SRT Experience thru the dirt as a Bad Experience. (see previous response)
I explained about our negative experience and that when we got home from the outing, we e-mailed our negative feedback to the people at the SRT Experience. We waited months without a response from them and were quite dissappointed by the lack of response from the SRT people.
After posting our experience here in this forum, as a response to this thread, however, we were immediately contacted by Jeff who took our information and read the e-mail I originally sent to the SRT people and apologized for the lack of response.
Jeff was quite interested in hearing about our experience and took to heart what was said b us about it. He made ammends with me personally and assured me that my input into the SRT Track Experience would not fall on deaf ears. We agreed on several points about the Experience and he sent me a couple of "goodies" as to make ammends!
Good for you, Jeff! You turned a negative into a positive. I hope this helps all of us for the future SRT Experiences.
And of course, We absolutely love our SRT8 300C!
That’s some great news RTP SRT8! I was so surprised to hear of your negative experience as no one else has posted any bad feed back before. So I’m glad to hear they stepped up for you. They seemed like the kind of people that would do something like this. Thanks for updating the forum and letting us know.

We had a bad experience. We weren't able to drive the Viper out of 2nd gear. Also, we went to the Daytona Int'l speedway and we weren't allowed on the actual speedway. The put us on a "go cart" sized track. Then they offered us a "goodie bag" full of fun stuff like a pen and a keychain. We were very dissappointed. Not even a t-shirt or a cap was offered, you even had to buy a bumper sticker if you wanted one. I'm glad that we didn't pay for the "experience" as it was part of our purchase price of the car. I would want my money back given the experience we had. It seemed to me that the ones having the real "track experience" were the Richard Petty experience where they drove stock cars on the actual Daytona 500 Speedway. We even wrote to the SRT Track Experience to tell them how cheesy it was and that we left 3 hours early. They never even returned our e-mails. The last 3 hours was where the professional drivers took you out for a ride in the viper (if you were lucky) or one of the other cars. They were allowed to go faster than they allowed us to go. I tell ya' it was a waste of time and hotel expenses. We couldn't even drive the Viper and we weren't even on the Daytona 500 Track. No t-shirts, no cap, not even a bumper sticker. Very dissappointing!
funny... i was at the same event and i had a BLAST. i was with the Dodge salesman - we won a trip to the event for selling the most Calibers in our center. Being a long time forum member, i knew about the viper not being on the road course, and i also knew that the event wasn't going to be on the actual track. if you didn't have fun on the road course its because the last person in line wasn't driving fast enough. the leader will only go so far in front of the last guy in the lineup... i wish they only had 2 cars following... the last guy ALWAYS seemed to get too far behind. i did get up to 115/120 on one trip around the course though.
i was hoping for more DRIVING school... but that's me being a car nut.

I see this is your first post. Welcome to the to the forums SRTpusher. Love the name BTW…..Congratulations on winning the trip to the SRTE! They are a major blast and a real chance for people to become familiar with the entire SRT lineup. This should make it much easier for you to “push SRT’s”
