Just joined the SRT family...

I traded in my '05 Silver 300C tonight for a '06 Black CSRT8. They practically let me steal it, because they've had 4 of them on the lot since May. So far, I love it! The gas mileage doesn't seem to bad on the highway either (20-21).

The Kicker sound system is a bit disappointing, but maybe it just takes some getting used to. The BA7 in my '05 sounded much more 'full'. The Kicker obviously has more bass, but just sounds a bit hollow in the midrange.

Options:
Group I
Group II
Moonroof
Kicker

Welcome to the Dark Side.

And by the way, congrats on getting the best color!

Saweet! Try not to have too much fun

I'd say the Kicker is louder, not necessarily better. Definitely more bass.

Welcome to the forums Dave and congratulations on purchasing one amazing ride. Be prepared to never stop smiling for quite a long time. Post some pics of your black beauty if you get a chance. We never tire of gazing at their beauty.

I don’t know if you saw this thread about the Kicker system. You may want to look into some of the information. For example there are quite a few that have disconnected the center speaker…..check it out. Hope it helps.

Disapointing Kicker sub problem fixed...

Thanks... I have read that thread, and plan to swap the polarity on the sub tomorrow. I may experiment with the center speaker, but I want to see how much the sub switch improves it first.

Oh, and I'm not new to the forums, just the SRT family.

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. I had to go straight from the dealer to work, and didn't get home until 10pm. I've barely seen it in the daylight so far.

Dave

Dodgeboy - just out of curiosity you mentioned they let you steal it. Can you tell me what you paid for it?
