Wink Hey, is that calendar contest still open? (nice pic)

I know, I know - long since over. But here in Kansas the photo ops are pretty limited. So imagine my delight when this sunset appeared as we made our way home:

Say, I think I can squeeze my car in there! Let's give it a shot:

Well crap, that didn't work out very well. I wonder if there is anyway to light it up a little without washing out the sunset? Surely I can't use the flash on the camera, as that always makes the reflectors stand out and everything else kinda funky. Oh well, I guess it's the only option I have with the colors fading fast...

Dayum!! That looks pretty darn spiffy if I dare say so myself! Not bad for a point-and-shoot camera operated by an amateur photographer. I was especially surprised to see that the "SRT" on the wheel posed for the picture properly as well. I wish I could get that tree out of there. AHA! I'll move the car back more (almost into the middle of the street) and see how it goes:

Alas, the colors were fading fast. A little better angle to be sure, but I kinda like the colors in the other one better - not to mention the SRT wheel!

Hope you like these half as much as I do!

Those are some beautiful sunset pictures! You did capture some amazing details from your car at the same time. Photography just blows me away when I try to take a good picture it never turns out. Then when I don’t try I can get lucky. Well done and excellent practice for next year’s calendar.
