Well, the end of the year is approaching and I figure that this would be the ideal time to get an 06 SRT-8.
I really love the outgoing 06 Silver Steel color, so getting an 07 isn't really an option.
What would be the best target price for an 06 300C SRT-8 with Option groups I and II, rear entertainment system and the Kicker option? MSRP looks to be around $46k.
Would $39K this late in the model year be realistic?
Absolutely. I just bought mine for that and got a smoking money factor to boot. Call Don Hilton at Steve White Chrysler in Hickory. By the way, where in NC are you?
I see no reason why you couldn’t get something in that ball park. My local dealer has a black and a silver fully loaded (except no rear entertainment) for that price. Now is the time to zoom in on those 06’s and strike some deals. Chrysler has a lot of inventory to unload. (not meaning SRT8 inventory…but I’m sure it becomes part of the pressure to get rid of ALL 06’s)

I just saw three of them for a little under 39,000 at a local dealer. I would say that just about any dealer that still has some 06's should be willing to deal.

John,
Thanks for the tip. I'm in New Bern.
I think that I saw several Ebay auctions from that Hickory dealer, and they seemed very competitively priced. I'll check into it.
No worries. That dealership provided the smoothest buying experience I've ever had. It took about 8 minutes, over the phone. They delivered the car, for free, the following week with all paperwork I needed to complete and the rest is driving pleasure. I really like the car. Correction, I REALLY like the engine. The car itself is nice. I do wish they would have spent a few more $'s on the interior materials. Oh well, it would have cost 70k to get performance like this in my Audi.

Yea, I really like the color. Also, the paint job seems to be of good quality. The last American made car I had, 2003 Mercury Marauder, looked brown instead of black. I tried everything (Zaino user for 10 years) and nothing seemed to help. I saw later build cars that looked some better but still not up to standards for a $35k car. I wanted a black SRT-8 but I not a big fan of the metallic fleck or what ever they call it. My pop had a Taurus SHO painted that color and it always looked dustly/dirty to me. If they're going to paint a car black, then paint it BLACK. Make the metallic black a special order color. No offense to those with black SRT's, just my opinion. Which are like...
