Found the courage to ASK!! What IS a 'FLASH'?!

Hi Guys!!

As most of us probably know by now - the long-awaited-for 'FLASH' for the SRT8 transmissions is coming. Hurray!!

OK - Enough of that!! lol

What is a 'FLASH'?! What does it mean - exactly?! I'm assuming the transmission computer program that's in our cars NOW will be erased and updated. Is that true?! But how does one go about doing that?! Will the dealer be able to directly access the transmission computer or will he have to go through the main engine computer? OR?! Should it take a minute or two? Or is it a complicated 'thing' to do that takes time?!

I know nothing about this - so don't worry. I won't be insulted if you dumb-down your answer!! [In fact - I'd prefer it]

Thanks,
Craig!!

It means to up date the trans computer for better shifting and to take care of any other updates.
