New SRT-8 Supercharger!

There is now another supercharger option available for the Hemi cars -

ASM took a different approach designing the supercharger system for the HEMI motor because of the way the stock intake manifold is designed. The stock manifold has a tube that extends nearly half way into the manifold from the throttle valve flange. This design does not lend itself to simply installing auxiliary fuel injectors directly behind the throttle valve in the air stream like other supercharger kits. On HEMI motors the stock intake manifold is designed to move air, not air mixed with fuel, so the auxiliary injector design was not an option. The ASM design eliminates the auxiliary injectors and instead includes eight larger fuel injectors to replace the stock factory units.

The kit also has an aftercooler to maintain a cooler air inlet air charge and reduce restrictions in the intake system (which further reduces inlet air temperature). The engine mounting brackets are precision CNC machined from billet aluminum and polished to match the supercharger, aftercooler and inlet ductwork. Spark and fuel management system consist of a preprogrammed, plug and play ECU that works with the factory installed ECU to maintain all the manufactures emission and sensor controls.

This package is available for the 5.7 and 6.1 motor. More pictures and info can be seen on our website.

Good to see they're using new injectors instead of that halfa$$ed way the other guys offer.

Still curious how they do the tuning though, and the efficiency of using that aftercooler than an air to air IC front mount.

Tom, got any prices you can post on this?

I'm interested to see what the 6.1 package looks like, because the one shown above doesn't look like its gonna fit with our intake manifold. It is good to see new options that were designed right though!

UNICHIP takes care of the programming for this kit. One of the ASM cars (5.7) has been running this system for about 9 months with no problems. They have also installed it on 6.1s. I'm working on getting pictures now. We've been using and selling Vortech kits for many years. There will always be a debate on which is better - an aftercooler or an intercooler. The aftercooler does work well. This one is supposed to be more efficent and the tubing is layed out better than some other Hemi superchargers that you've seen.

Good point. Although this is a turbo set up, check out the injectors here. Massive green monsters.
