Super Charger

I've been doing some research on the AS&M Supercharger that they have out now for the 5.7's and the 6.1's. They seem to have possibly figured out all the bugs.

They're offering a 3/36 on The engines Lubricated parts.

I like the fact that they are allowing the Intake to only be a provider of air. No auxillary fuel injectors used. They just upgraded the 8 factory injectors.

125 HP gain.

Hmmmm

Yeah, if all this stuff was out when I had my 5.7 I would have never even considered an SRT8.

My Birthday is in October....so I'm waiting this out till then . If the results are great (NO BOOM , GREAT #'S ...BOTH DYNO AND TRACK!!!) ...then I will pick this up and tell the wife she's done shopping for me . It's how I got most of the mods I have as a matter of fact . First clip for Christmas 05...second was our 10 year wedding aniversary present in OCT 06 !!! Now B'Day 07...a supercharger !!! She hates when I do this......but hey if I don't nobody will . I just hope the technology keeps pace with my little celebrations !! What will I be buying myself for flag day ....Hey it counts !! LOL!!

I would still shy away from any SC's. I think we should resist the cheaper, bolt on HP's. When I have the money, I would look at the Stroker route. More expensive, but naturally aspirated and really no risk if it's done by a good speed shop. There is still no long term testing on the super chargers.
