Picking up my 300C SRT8 tomorrow :)

Hi all

I am scheduled to pick up my 06 silver 300C SRT8 tomorrow. I can't wait!

Only potential problem is we are getting nailed with snow and the car only has F1s on it...

I am going to see if the dealer will drop the car off to my house via enclosed trailer until I can get my snow tires/wheels from Tire rack. (Going to order the wheels/tires right after I sign the paperwork and get the car home safe and sound)

I should have pics tomorrow, I am very excited!!

Cheers,
Chris

Congratulations, Chris, on your brand new SRT! I feel your excitement and hope you can work out something with the dealer on getting it delivered right to your home! I would not want my first outing to be in the snow, either! Where do you live?

Looking forward to your pics and welcome to the 300c forums, too!

Congratulations Chris on your upcoming purchase of a mighty fine beast. You’re really going to love driving this car. However in the snow it may not be the best thing going….especially with the F1’s. I hope all of your plans come to fruition and I look forward to seeing some pictures of your beast!

Congrats. I know how you feel right about now. Didn't sleep last night did you?

I had a similar experience when I picked mine up. Drove 50+ miles in a blinding rainstorm which turned to snow and ice the last few miles of the trip. Made it home safe and sound though. And even had the guts to stop off for a six pack of victory beers before parking in the garage.

Best of luck. You're gonna love it.

Thanks guys I have the driveway all cleared. (took me 2.5 hours with the snowblower)

We had about a foot of snow fall last night, drifts 3 feet high LOL!

I am waiting to hear back from the dealer on how to get the car here. I dont feel like driving it in the snow with the F1s but the roads are almost clear now.

Once the car is home it's going to be parked until I get the snows on it. I test drove the car with the F1s with a bit of slush/snow and was surprised/impressed I could even get it out of the parking lot. This thing will be great in snow with dedicated snow tires.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi guys,

Not picking up the car till Wed or Thursday. They changed the oil in the car and took it for a brief road test were they found the rotors were pulsating. They ordered two new front rotors and they should be in by Wednesday. I'll pick up the car wed evening or Thursday morning.

Not a big deal as I didnt think I could get the car home in this weather anyways LOL

Cheers,
Chris

If they're not already, have them replace all four rotors with the new slotted ones. You may as well order some C-Tek or Rotex Gold pads while you're at it and throw them on. Otherwise you'll be in brake dust hell.
