My sad story starts when I got blown off by Lithia in Renton, WA. They said all Chrysler products have squeaky brakes! Then I go to Huling Bros. in West Seattle. At first they seem ok, but then they give me the run around about how my rotors aren't scored enough. OK, they agree to replace the pads and acknowledge the 1-2 shift problem, but say I have the latest software.
The parts finally come in a month later so I drop it off (today) and they agree to flash the new 1-2 TSB. I come back in a few hours to pick it up and to my surprise I see slotted rotors, only on the front though. I then inquire about the rears and the service writer looks at me like I'm talking greek!
I brush it off and figure I'll just go grab my TSBs and talk to the service manager. Only on the way I notice that my brakes are still squeaking and I can hold redline in 1st while in Autostick. I look at the work order and all they did was change the front rotors and claim to do the 1-2 TSB.
I call up and sure enough, there are only the people in billing to talk to. So I get into an arguement with a girl that just keeps repeating the work order to me and gets all pissed that I know the TSB numbers and have copies in front of me. She then realizes that they gave me 2 rotors for free, so that's the only good thing that came out of it. Now I get to wait for the service writer to come up with his B.S. story.
I hope someone out there knows a dealership in the Seattle area that's worth a !@#$. Hell, I'll even drive to Portland for a quality dealership, that's how fed up I am!
Well, thanks for listening to me vent, maybe we need a Seattle SRT-8 M/G to blow off some steam.
Sorry to read of your dealership hassles. That is so ridiculous to put their best customers through such hoops! This is all warranty work and shouldn’t be anything off their bottom line. Give me a break. You’re right…you do have to wonder how some stay in business. I hope you get it all straightened out…..good luck!

I have had very good expeiences with Huling brothers in my dealings with them. I stay far away from Lithia last time I was there the tech wrecked my car and I was in rental for over 60 days. I would one of the best customer services from a dealer up here would be Kirkland chyrsler

sorry to hear about your problems with your dealership hope it all work out well for ya i have no problem with my dealership i get excellent service there
of course i have a big mouth and they don't like for me to open it so we're cool with them once again good luck
Thanks for the support guys. I have gotten a couple messages saying that Kirkland has good customer service. I think I managed to get through to someone at Huling Bros though. Well use to be Huling Bros., they just changed their name after the buyout. Scott over in service jumped on my concerns right away and understood all the TSBs. He said he would rush order all the pads and rear rotors. The only problem is the 1-2 TSB. It's still too new for them so maybe I can convince them to let me play with their scan tool and update it be following the TSB. Hopefully he wasn't blowing smoke, I'll let you know how things progress.
I bought my SRT8 at Huling Bros in October. I told them before my purchase that I was aware of the brake noise/scoring/dust issues and they should expect me to return the car for brake warrantee issues. They said this would not be a problem. My front rotors scored in 700 miles. They updated all the rotors and installed my ctek pads for free. The only exception to their great service (had lots of other things done) was the wheel lug nuts were randomly torque’d to 5-140 ft/lbs. Huling also recommended having a hitch shop install the Chrysler hidden hitch... Don't do it!... Have Chrysler install it. It probably costs a little more, but I'm sure it won't take 7 trips to the hitch shop to get it right.
PS: I couldn't find a Chrysler dealer that would install a Quaife rear end, so I had a Viper mechanic install it. Let me know if you want his number, He now has his own shop. (was a Viper tech for for Dodge) Most of the factory Viper tech's are not all that great.
Huling's is where I bought my SRT8, and where I have it serviced. I have had good luck here now, and have for many years with my wife's Town & Country. Their Chevy service department serviced my Vette for many years, and I was always pleased.
They recently installed the slotted rotors and put on my C-Tek pads at no charge.
I have not yet asked them to to the tranny flash; I want to give them time to learn on other cars first (I did have to give them all the information on the rotors TSB for them to understand what was to be done).
I would stay away from BBC Dodge in Burien. Although I have not had personal experience, friends have complained to me about poor service there.
Wow sorry about your dealership troubles I hope you find one out there that will actually take care of a customer!!! Once you do make them your go to dealer for everything since you know you can trust them to get all the work done on a car!!
