New Pioneer Nav System

Saw the sticky on the new pioneer nav system and am surprised nobody is talking about it? To me this looks fantastic compared to the NAV system that comes from factory. Yes the price is 2x as much as factory, but it seems to offer at least 2x the amount of options. I am wondering when this will be offered?

It may be nice, but I certainly didn’t like the way it was presented to us. Massive closed, sticky threads across the boards doesn’t invite a nice warm forum greeting if you get my gist. So in my mind I still consider it spam and choose to ignore it. jmho

I can't believe the price. $1000 for all of that? I'd be curious if that will be the price point once it's released. If so, Pioneer has a winner on their hands. I've always been partial to Alpine, but for that functionality will cost you over $2k.

I agree about the post, however I have to agree with Haywood. All the added functionality it gives you in addition to the GPS would easily cost near 2k if purchased individually. I like the ipod integration with ipod functionality on the TOUCH SCREEN. Read a recent article said it will be available March. To me its a no brainer....for the extra $500 (if the price point is 1k as stated) you get so much more.

i agree.. the simple notice on the homepage worked.. the notice in the car a/v forum was understandable, but this is ridiculous. i mean if your gonna buy it, then the first ad did it for you. otherwise its just a nuisance. i guess the sites gotta pay bills too but they sold the windshield on this one.

I agree w/ danno. It's spam to me.

I'm building my own carputer setup right now so I'm not too concerned with the head unit anyways.

Maybe I am missing the point and really dont understand the process of posting stickys or what/who postrelease is since I am a newbie to this forum. So just because the way it was posted as a sticky its considered spam? What if anyone of us were to come across this new bit of information and posted about it...would the opinions be different? I am trying to concentrate on the NAV SYSTEM itself and not how the information got posted...I guess just like any other after market product. Sorry for not fully understanding the SPAM comments

yes its a good deal, but i didnt really see anything just new or amazing about it. i already have all those features (unless i missed something) in my indash. and to tell the truth i payed almost half that for a brand new flip out unit.
