Had an encounter with one on the freeway, I have to admit I normally like to keep up to date with car stats, as soon as I saw the Saleen on the car, I was thinking to myself oh crap what have I gotten myself into... but to my pleasure the SRT8 came out with the victory and held it's grille up high :-)

On a congested section of the freeway he was in front and I stayed back until there was no traffic and the other lane opened, but during the congestion he kept braking for no reason as to say hey I 'm front there were about 15-20 car lengths between him and the car in front, so I know he was doing it on purpose, so the lanes clear up I get over and he guns it and I gun it and go flying past him and slow up for him and I can see him trying to figure out which model 300 it was and he gets off at the next exit. This car is truely a sleeper and gets alot of people guessing which model 300 it was that just beat them.

Yeah, they can look pretty imposing with the wings, ground effects, graphics, etc. I like some of the Roush and Saleen, especially the '05 and up, but even with the supercharger in stock form they aren't as fast as you would think due to their weight.
The new Parnelli Jones Saleen looks pretty sweet, but it stickers for over $60K which makes it hard to justify. I think the most promising Mustang will be the Boss 302 due out later this year with the new Hurricane motor which reportedly will be approx. 380hp NA.....and a sticker a shade under $40K.
Congratulations Kobe on the kill. It’s hard to remember sometimes which models will give us the kick in the crotch and which ones we can beat up on. I would have thought the same thing. Well done and put another notch on your dash.
