Talking WooHoo, 4.72sec 0-60 time!!

Been wanting to break my previous best of 4.80s. On the way home tonight i pull onto the usual spot, right infront of my land and very flat/straight. ESP off and reset 0-60 timer. Get ready and ease into it trying not to spin. I think that's been my problem, i lose more time easing into it than i do if i were to hit the loud pedal, spin, let off, and punch it again. Ran a 5.0x that time. 2nd go round I decided to Hit it! It spins a second, let out, then back in it.. off we go and 4.72s shows up; i'm like "WHOA!!!" The temp was 30* outside, 215 engine temp, and a full tank of gas.

Any of you guys getting any better numbers with the cooler weather.

EDIT, almost (did) forgot the picture; since I know you guys love the 0-60 time pics

nice! that's such a cool feature. i keep waiting for someone to find a severe downhill slope, knock off a 3.9, post the picture without the details, and laugh at all of us when the fireworks begin.

I bet a 2.9 is possible in auto in the rain..

Extreme- great run!

I REALLY wish my 2006 had this feature. It would allow you to fine tune your launching technique.

Big congrats Justin! I know you’ve been working at besting your old time and you’ve accomplished it. This is a great new feature the SRT’s have in them. This will really give you excellent practice for some runs at the track. You’ll be smoking everyone’s doors off. Are you planning a track event anytime soon? Good luck!

DANNO, we are actually going to the track tomorrow. I need to give blake (1srt8-2nv) a call and see if he can go too. I'll be going with several folks with everything from a 9 second single cab chevrolet truck, 2 trailblazer ss's, chipped/exhaust duramax, and maybe some others. Should have some good video and pics

Thanks for the posts guys. I wish that the 0-60 feature could be flashed into the pre-07 cars. This is awesome, and like stated above, it's fun to just race yourself and try to beat your old time!
