300C vs. Cadillac: sick of the comparisons

OK here are the measurements of four cars. Three different Cadillac Sedans and the SRT-8. Without cheating by looking up the numbers, which Cadillac should be compared with the 300C SRT-8, Car A, B, or C?

Dimension .......SRT-8..Cadi A..Cadi B..Cadi C
length ...........196.6__207.6__190.1__196.3
height .............57.9__57.6___56.7___57.6
width ..............74.1__74.8___70.6___72.6
wheel base.......120__115.6__113.4__116.4
front head........38.7__38.3___38.9___38.7
front shoulder....59.4__60.0___56.6___58.6
front leg...........41.8__42.5___42.4___42.6
rear head .........38.0__38.4___36.9___37.9
rear shoulder.....57.7__59.2___56.2___57.4
rear leg............40.2__42.0___36.2___38.3
front hip...........55.9__57.3___53.4___54.6
rear hip............55.9__55.7___53.8___55.6
cargo..............15.6__18.8___12.5___13.8

Only 10 votes so far? Everyone knows which car failed to get a vote, right?

I would guess
300 - Deville - CTS - STS

I voted for the lightest skinniest one

I voted for the one with the closest shoulder room and length (C).

Caddy A seems the closest match - in terms of a driver used to the 300C being most comfortable. The only significant difference is length - Caddy A is much longer, and the difference mainly shows up in trunk size. The DTS, I assume - and it was the DTS that recently came in last in a Money magazine comparo of four large sedans - a comparo won by our own 300C!

I actually voted for Car C.

Most people pegged its: Car A is a DTS. B is the CTS. C is the STS. I was surprised that in several categories the 300C is actually closer to a DTS in size than the STS. Other than Tork Monster being a doofus , no one looks at those numbers and thinks the CTS is the appropriately sized comparison vehicle.

The next time someone compares a CTS to a 300C, I'm going to compare the Viper to the CTS.

By the way: The DTS' measurements average 102% of the 300C. The STS' measurements average 98% of the 300C. That puts the 300C sizewize right in between those two models. The CTS' measurements only average 94% of the 300C.

Theoretically, the DTS and STS are equally reasonable choices for comparison with the 300C. I'd give the nod to the STS for being the better comparison due to its sportier nature. There are no rational arguments for comparing with the CTS when you have to skip over the STS size wize to get down from the 300C to the CTS.

.
HA HA! Yes, I was being a doofus. Sorry I bent your poll.
No question the CTS is a smaller car.

I compared the CTS-V to the SRT8 because of price and intent of purpose, not size.

You do make a very good point, though
