Fuse 11 on a 2007

I've read that fuse 11 is a yellow 20 amp fuse and remember miester saying it was a "bright yellow 20 amp fuse". So, when i went to pull it out, on the diagram it said that fuse 11 was a peach colored 25 amp fuse. Well.. i just pulled the bright yellow one instead of the one that was listed as fuse 11 on the cover. Well, Today i put in a lower thermostat and used the 25 cent fan mod to cool the car down before installation. After it was said and done i had a CEL showing (cause of the 25cent mod) well. Back to Fuse 11. I pulled the bright yellow 20 amp under the hood for a few minutes to clear the MIL. Damn, that didn't work? So i pulled the Peach Colored 25amp that is listed as fuse 11. Put it back in and poof, no CEL.

SO, Was there a change in the wiring or fuse location between 06-07?

Yes, you must have ordered the special “girlie-man” option on your SRT8. It comes with peach fuses, pink primer, pink trim around the sunroof, and the special 24 hour Village People Channel …..all at no extra charge to you.

Sorry, I just couldn’t resist. I actually have no idea. I’ve looked around and see no mention of any kind of fuse changes like you’re describing. If you find something out please be sure to let us know…..maybe you have an anomaly or a mutant fuse box or something.

The CEL is from the lower tstat, not the fan mod. You think you are clear...but that CEL will come back. I'll bet the CEL comes on because the engine stays cold too long with the new tstat. I have the same set up as you and get CEL's all the time. I just pull fuse 11 and reset.

As for the different wiring, are you sure you are not looking backwards? The diagram is backwards from the cover...kind of odd. Anyway, since the 07's do have a few other things that the 06's don't...it would not surprise me that they moved it to another location. That and the fact the engineers, etc. do read the boards...wink wink.

Moose, That's what i've been trying to figure out. I know the thing is backwards but pulling the fuse i thought was Fuse 11 (the yellow 20 amp) didn't clear the CEL. The 25amp on the other side did however clear the CEL. I'll get a pic and post it.
