I see the hole you're referring to. Mine has the same hole on the right side, but it's on the actual belly cover. I felt under my car and it's nothing more than an exit hole for some type of drain or overflow tube. There's a small diameter rubber hose coming out of it.

Here's a pic of the hole you describe. I was playing around and more concerned with the dogs, but if you look closely, you can see the hole in the cover, NOT the vent. This pic is sitting in the proper orientation too.

Your name is moddog. There's is dogdogs...haha. Left to right, Emma, Otis, Beta.

THAT HOLE IS FOR THE CONDENSATION FROM THE AIR CONDENSER. The part of the air duct that is on the bell pan some how connects to the air duct up to the fascia. The one`s in the photo`s.

Cute doggies Rambit! Otis is the larger of the three and you say Beta is the dominate one? I thought I was looking at a mirror for a minute.

Sorry Moddog I apologize for interrupting this thread….but the dogs were too cute to resist.

Sorry moddog. There's no other holes on mine and no other connecting parts other than what you see on the new one, either side. The vents themselves don't have any holes other than where the fasteners go. I don't know what the parts you got from Mopar Supercenter are for, but they don't resemble mine at all. Clearly they are separate pieces from the front belly shield and attached by clipping in. Mine came as a unit and I have no idea if they can be ordered the way yours came.

Did you check out your wheelwell to see if it has a cut out or not?

I have the same bell pan as you. If you look through to the front of the fascia you will see the parts I am talking about .I will take a photo of mine and post it tomorrow. You will see that there is nothing there.

Rambit hear are some photo's taken from in front of the fascia. As you can see with out the air ducts you can see every thing behind the fascia. The other phot's are from an SRT8 you can see the air duct.
