2006 SRT8 vs 2007 HSV GTS... Who would win?

Well well well.. gooday everyone.

My mate just bought a 2007 HSV GTS for himself.... he is a mad holden fan and i must admit, the car does look good.

In the near future.. probably in the next 3 weeks, we will probably come up against one and other.. to see who has the most muscle...

What is the forumns thoughts... will my car beat the GTS>?

Here is a link to a previous discussion. I’m not familiar with this car.

There has been plenty of discussion of the Pontiac G8 (Holden Commodore SS) (link below)

New Hsv

The 300C has its first real competition

I'll take a shot here, but it sounds like your a female. If that true, it always nice (or hot) to see the ladies interested in fast cars.

I didn't think the HSV are in the states. Don't recall ever seeing one. Are you in Australia by chance?

I think the gts won`t be much differant than the GTO in terms of performance the same engine so it`s a drivers race.

Go for it try to choose the begining of the race & let him take the end. roll on 20mph & go.

Goodluck

By the way if it`s a 1/4 mile race then you should be a good driver to hook up the car with the minimum wheel spin. The gts 0-100 time are within 5 sec.

really not sure about it, i just took a look at the specs, 307kw, 550nm, 0-100 in 4.96 secs. would definately be a good race, if they have a manual, my money is on you as since it's a new car, i'm hesitant to say he'll be able to shift it like a pro. if it's an auto, i think it really comes down being a drivers race although i still think the advantage is on your side since everyone keeps telling us the SRT is underrated in terms of power. in the end, just remember you're smart because it'll cost you less in depreciation and people will still love the look of your car in 3 years as compared to him.
