Actually let me rephrase the first question.

Did I do a good deal if I paid $42,980 before taxes and license for a fully loaded 300C SRT8 with a 0% financing?

They were either going to give me 0% or $4000 off the above price which would of been about $38,980 before taxes and license.

I considered that I would end up paying about $6000 for financing interest if I did not use the 0%, so I took the 0% instead of the $4000 off the price.

If I did pay entire amount out of my pocket, of course I would of taken the $4000 but instead I downed a 1/4 and financed at 0% the rest.

Do you think I did a good deal or got screwed?
Let's put aside the recent deals folks have been getting and put a different perspective on this that's sure to make you feel pretty darn good about the deal.

46,745 + tax, title and registration.

Feel better?

As far as the warranty, there's a huge markup on them. My selling dealership offered me the 7yr/100k Maxcare, 0 deductible for $3,300 (I think..pretty close...it was over 3k for sure). I said no thanks and that I could get one for $1,300.00 from someone else. Two weeks later I bought it from them for $1,275.00. Shows you how much markup there is.

Congrats on the car and don't worry about what you paid. You'll soon find that you would have paid more if need be!!

Congratulations on purchasing a mighty super hemi!! I think you got a fair deal…certainly not ripped off. As Dan stated previously you’ll be driving this beast thinking you would have been happy to pay more if need be…..that’s how much you’re going to love this car! Enjoy and let us know how you’re loving it!

You know, the whole "finance" thing is sooooo subjective as it is you'll never get a consensus as to just how good a deal you may or may not have gotten. I tend to side with most of the folks here when they say it doesn't matter as long as you're happy with the outcome. You must be...you drove her home! I see you have an F-body, too. One of the dilemmas I've been dealing with lately is whether or not to trade it in. I think I've got myself convinced to do it but you know how that goes! I'm actually eyeballing some '06 cars as we speak. I, too, may take this jump soon. Congrats on the acquisition!

You did the right thing getting the 0% financing instead of the $4000 extra discount. Just like you said, you come out $2000 ahead, and that's if you could get 5% on a 4 year loan ($30000 loan). You probably saved even more than $2000 because if would be very hard to get a 5% loan.

Thank you for all the replies..

I am totally over the price thing now. Time to enjoy the Ride.

I love the 300C SRT8 tho having it black isn't easy to keep it clean just like my Firehawk.. bleh..

I am kinda feeling weary tho because today I decided I was going to put in the LEDs I bought a few weeks back, and bam I had a long hard time trying to get those damn door courtesy lights with the looped Festoons in. They need to make that with square loops instead of the circle.
I gave up trying so I think I will ask the dealer to put them in. In the process I broke the tabs on the glovebox light housing.. Sigh.. then next trying to put in the license plate LEDs and bam I end up scuffing and damaging the screws but they are in. Sigh.. I think I will ask the dealer to replace them so just incase next time I want to unscrew it, I can do it and not strip em so I can't even access it.
damn I keep breaking things I swear...I wonder if anyone else have had issues like I have.. Sigh..

I did like the brightness and how the Super White LEDs shine. For the trunk, I didn't like the 36 bulb LED just resting on the clear cover so I put the wire thru foam and stuck that up there so the LED would be more stable and not move when the cover is on.

Then I start to notice that my upper chrome trim and the center trim is off. It is lined up if you look at it from the side of the car but if you look from the top and look down towards the floor, the driver door's trim is slightly higher than the rear door's.
Then I notice the driver door slightly off from the rear door so its almost flush but not quite as it should be, and sticks out a little to which I guess is making the trims not quite flush.

It isn't really noticeable but damn it bothers me.

Maybe I shouldn't mod it until way way later.. Hmmm

Anyone else have this problem with door alignment?

Yep. Not sure if it's exactly the same, but both front doors stick out further at the seam where they meet the rears. Fairly noticeable from the rear. I try not to notice it and it's really not a big deal to me anymore.

It's a catch 22. Do you try to have it fixed only to have them screw it up worse? Or do you live with it?

Congrats on finally getting the ride!! Now drive the heck out of it and enjoy! Don't worry toooo much over the small things unless you are showing the car, or consider it an investment. As a wise sage on here has in his signature, you should end life broke, wore out, saying ' wow, what a ride'.
