Dealership damaged my new SRT8:(

Ok, i bought the car last week. when i bought it, they promised to also tint the windows and fill it up. they needed a day to tint the windows and they couldn't fill it up with gas at the dealership due to them not having 91 octane, so they said to come back the following week. so, this brings me to yesterday....i brought the car in yesterday morning and tell them i'd like them to tint the car with 15% tint all the way around. They said they would see what they could do (i think anything over 20 or 25% is legal in texas). I come back to pick it up at 5:30 and there she is sitting in a parking space. The car looked absolutely stunning with the new dark tint, better than i imagined. Then i notice something..... the car was parked too close to the curb where the front spoiler was scraping underneath. i notify the guy that sold it to me, and he is pissed! he's cursing the tint guy under his breath. they offered to fix the scraped under fascia (which was scraped and had about a one inch crack that u can't see unless you're underneath). my wife complained and then they offered to replace the fascia instead of fixing. i then noticed about a six inch scratch above the left front wheel well. i dont know if we did it or the tint guy did it, but i cant prove it. so i ask if they will just fix the front fascia (instead of replacing) and also fix the scratch. I figured they did me a favor of giving me free dark tint, and fixing the scratch, so i wont be a total ****head and make them replace the fascia. I should get the car back on Wednesday or Thursday completely fixed. Also, the dealership was nice enough to give me a decent loaner car while mine was being fixed. It's a 2007 Chrysler Aspen that's loaded. I figured they'd try to put me in a 2000 Neon from the used lot. Oh, and also, the salesman told me he would keep the car indoors the entire time and that he would personally make sure the car was well taken care of and not driven over 30mph when he went to put the gas in it. Anyway, long story short, the dealership's outsourced tint guy screwed up and I feel that the dealership went out of their way to keep me happy. Thank you Bankston Chrysler/Dodge of Frisco!

after reading posts of dealerships screwing people over...its good to see there are decent, honest dealerships out there. If i lived in the U.S i would definately buy my next car from a dealership recommended by a forum member.

Nothing beats word of mouth to make or break a company

Sorry to see you having to deal w/ all this after only a week of ownership!! That sucks! At least the dealership seems to be going the extra mile! At least you know you'll be in good hands for future service needs!!!

Same thing happened to me when I was TAKING DELIVERY of my car. The porter parked the silver SRT I bought with the front facia on the curb. We walked around the car and never noticed it. When we backed it out...drag, bam, pop. I go inside and tell my salesperson about the problem. He immediately goes to find out what can be done, how can it be fixed, etc. The General Manager of the dealership comes over to me and says, "We are not going to fix this for you, find any SRT out there and you have have it for the same price, we'll just redo the deal with the new VIN." So thank you porter, because I got the color I really wanted (BB) and every option available.

It's been close to six months of ownership and I'm still parking about 18 inches away from any head-on curbs.

I'm sorry this happened to you as I can relate, but I'm glad they are going out of their way to fix the issue...they should.

yep, with their positive attitude and willingness to make me happy....i didn't get angry. Crap happens, i understand that and apparently the dealership understands that. If any of you are looking for an SRT8, they have one in Brilliant Black with every option including video for 40,998. Not too bad of a price. I would also recommend if anyone goes there to ask for Tony Lee, he's been the best car salesman i've ever worked with.
Also important to note: i've gotten better service with my car at the Chrysler dealership than i've ever gotten with my h2 at the hummer dealership!

I watched the lot attendant back into a van while bringing my baby around. There's just some folks out there that lack any real form of intelligence ya know???

Scary thing is some of them are registered to vote!

Glad to hear of this happy ending . Bottom line is unfortunately.........at some point .........dealerships occasionally screw the pooch....it's how they handle it from there that set's them apart .

I just took my SRT8 into the dealer for the tranny and brake TSB's and had 38 more miles on it when I picked it up I'm glad to see your dealer seems to be better than mine.
