That Roush is nice but overpriced. If performance is all you're after, pick up a Gen II Lightning and throw a tune, filter and pulley and you're at 400/490 to the tires and running mid - high 12s.

Spend 8 - 10K (on top of what you pay for one) and have a built motor putting down 6xx/7xx to the tire and everything else you'd need to run 10s.

looks alone, the dodge hands down. muscle trucks should look menacing, not like a ricer reject with pin stripes and a nascar style spoiler. yuck. the ford is hideous. it would look better stock just lowered on 24s. but as for as the engines go, the ford would be cheaper and easier to mod, whereas the v10 might pose more of a challenge. my verdict-the dodge. you want it for raw power and intimidating highway commuters, while having the power to lay tread in any gear, and thats what the dodge was made for.

Easy, the Ford is a turd. Even supercharged it makes FAR LESS power (and runs hi 14's stock) than a stock SRT-10 (hi 13's stock) and its just a factory (non forged) 5.4 that will be maxed out at around 450-475hp (about 400 rwhp). Stock, my brother in laws SRT-10 dyno'd at 435 and with exhaust and a tune was at 472rwhp. The Viper is FAR easier to mod and in my opinion better in every regard....plus the regular cab SRT-10's have a 6 speed!

I have driven both, and would not be cought dead driving the Roush (plus its expensive) you can get a well modded (or stock) 04-05 SRT-10 with less than 15K for $25K-$30K all day long.

Its not a contest in any regard.

I’m just a little prejudiced….I love my baby and now that they don’t make them any more they’re extra special.
