I believe this will be one of the last threads that you see Jmatt in. I'm fairly certain that he was banned early today for a comment in another thread. I hope that some magical mistake was made, but he is currently unable to log on to the forum anymore. May he find his way without the forum.
What the heck thread was that in? I haven't seen any controversial stuff today. Just curious.
One of the moderators deleted it. I recieved a goodbye email from Jmatt this morning becuase he was poking some fun at another member, and called the other member a complex name that I had to look up in the dictionary to find out what it meant. Now it doesn't say he is banned anywhere, but he can't log on to the site, and from his normal computer can't even get on the site to read the threads, no access at all. If he isn't really banned, he's got a good practical joke going. At least I'm still hoping this is a joke.
he must have the site set to "remember me" so it automatically attempts to log him in if he loads the page, which in turn restricts his access. if he deletes his cookies and TIFs, it should reset this and he should be able to view the site as a lurker. if he doesnt have it set like that.. i dunno. im not sure how a computer could restrict access from his IP address. anyway if he tries that, he should be able to still see the forum, just not post. and if he is truly devious, he could just create a new screenname cause there again i dont think they restrict IP addresses, just screen names. just my .02. hope i dont get in trouble for saying this.

I have sent JMatt a PM and I am trying to discuss the issue with him. If he comes back, it'll be up to him. There is no reason anymore why he should not be able to access the site like anyone else.
I was gonna say sounds like an IP ban... but from what ekool said I don't think that is the case. Tell him to clear his cookies and cache and try again.
Sad to see this crap happening..and it's starting to happen ...all too often . I will never understand members leaving , threatening to leave , leaving ...then coming back , self imposed bans ......whatever . When a good member leaves the forum......who loses ?? The mods ??? I dont think so !!! Hundreds of members sign up for every 1 who leaves/sells/whatevers . They (EKOOL/John) clearly own the forum and can say or do whatever they want with it ......but it's great members make up the content and make this place what it is . Ditching friendships and commaradarie (I'm not talking directly about Jmatt or anyone else.....but in general) is not the answer or a proper response in my opinion. I just think some members....who have exited on there principles....have mis-guided their anger . I'm here till I die , get banned, or the site closes . End of rant...just hate to wave bye-bye to good contributing , pioneering members over nonsense....from either side of the coin . Sorry.......I said end of rant...... -Mike.
