Ain't no "former" about it...i'll ALWAYS be a Chevy man in my soul
Love my Camaros, the Vettes i've had...I of course luv my Mopar as well, but for me its more about a love affair with AMERICAN muscle cars than any particular company.
Sibling rivalry, is how i tend to look upon the competition between American cars...its all in good fun
and then when called upon, we team up against the import crowd, and give beat downs
that's my opinion at least

Agree 100% Imports do need a smack down.
*Correction: Aside from Holden imports from Australia.

I'm still a Chevy man. I have a 1971 Chevelle with 454 Big Block that I bought when I was 18. It was my first car and first project before my 300 cam along. I just put chevelle project on hold for now. Check out the video below, It was when my dad had just replaced my old tranny for a 700R4. Quality is crappy, was video taped with my Treo.
i guess i was mostly a cadillac guy, my previous two cars, which i had for the longest of any of my cars, were Northstars. the 300SRT8, though, offered way more power and 90% of the luxury for a whole lot less money, and it was no contest in the looks department IMHO.
my cars:
'79 Buick Electra with the surprisingly quick 403cid "rocket" engine (my first car, a 9 year old hand-me-down from my dad)
'78 Lincoln Continental Mark V (most beautiful car i ever owned, but it was a nightmare service-wise and also kind of a slug despite the 460cid)
'85 Olds Toronado (slowest car i ever owned .. but it was pretty, and it talked! it would say "YOUR DOOR IS OPEN" and "CHECK FUEL GUAGE" in a digitized computer voice, hahaha. also had an early digital speedo)
'98 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe - loved that 300hp northstar
'01 Cadillac STS - cadillac must have de-tuned this engine at some point, it just plain wasn't as fast as my '98
'06 300C SRT8 - stylistically reminds me a little of my beloved Mark V (well, it's big and black, anyway), and power-wise it's in another universe from anything i've ever owned.

Still am, and probably always be a GM guy (even though they've been sooooo late to the game)
currently own '92 Vette
previously:
'73 454 Stingray Vette
'76, 78 and 80 Chevy Monza's
Pontiac Grandam
Pontiac Bonneville
Saturn (ex-wife's car)
Ironically my first car was an 88 Plymouth Sundance, what a piece of s*** that thing was.
I bought a Dodge truck in '00, loved it, STILL love and own it and never looked back. I'm a DCX re-convert.
Hopefully GM can bring me back with a Z06 in the future.
Ford almost had me with the Shelby Mustang but you still can't get them at a decent price and they should have made the SVT adrenaline Sporttrac. I would have plunked down an instant deposit for that truck. If you don't know what it is, do a google.

I was always a Chrysler man. My dad worked the plants for 35 years, and the Windsor plant paid for my college where I worked as a TPT for a while. I have owned two GM products though. I had a 74 Caprice Classic rag top (DasBoot) with a 454 in it, which I had to sell when it became impractical. I also had a 84 GMC S15 which I drove for 380,000 kms before it just go too old and had to go. Both vehicles were excellent, and I would never say a bad word about GM products, except that over the last 15 years, they have become too bland and look alike for me.
Now it's a 300C for the wife, and a Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Sport 4x4 for me
