Hmmmm....How many of you are former GM guy/girls?

I just noticed that some of you still own or have owned Chevelles, Corvettes, and the like. Maybe you all are not the blasphemous heathens that I once thought.

Car prior to my 300C was a 2002 Cadillac STS, I had STS's from 1993 until 2006. When Cadillac made the V6 the standard engine on the STS and added a big premium to the V8, I decided to look else where. I also own a 2001 Vette and have owned Vette's continuously since 1972. Back in the 60's 70's and 80's. I owned many Mopars, mostly muscle cars. In fact, I used to race Mopars in NHRA Super Stock and Stock classes, although that was many years ago.

I still have my 67 Camaro. Unfortunately, it's being neglected.

Still have my '67 GTO. Also owned a '73 Vette for about 48 hours (there's a story there, but...).
I ended up buying the 300C, but the only other car I was interested in was the '06 GTO. Test drove both, but the 300C won out for just a couple of reasons, mainly dealing with my commute (if GTO would have *had* to get the manual transmission and after awhile - around here - my clutch leg muscles would have been huge...) and I truly was drawn to the styling of the 300C... couldn't stop looking at it and still can't. You know, when you park your car (after choosing an appropriate space), then while walking away from it you *have* to turn around and glance at it a couple'a times...

I am a former GM guy

1994 Z28 SOLD
1995 Z28 Supercharged 11.80s SOLD
1998 Formula Supercharged then NA 385ci 11.0 at 127mph on motor SOLD
1999 Corvette Couple (12.52 with boltons) SOLD
2002 Camaro SS MINT with 9K miles (traded on the SRT8)
2002 Envoy SOLD
2007 Trailblazer 5.3L V8 (Current truck)

SRT8 is perfect for me. I can fit my family in the car, go on long road trips, drive year round and still have great power, handling, braking and overall performance.

GM missed the boat for my needs. The SRT8 is a beast and the best car I have owned so far...

Cheers,
Chris

The 300 is a nice car. Its a sweet four door. But remember that GM will always welcome you back.
