If Magna buys Chrysler, what do you think will happen to the SRT8?

It looks like Magna may be buying Chrysler. What do you think will be the fait of the SRT8 cars?

by knowing what cars they help with, id probably think they would make better quality parts, and maybe a put smaller engines in the cars

It would be cool to see Canadians buy Chrysler. Stronach (Magna - a parts supplier) Schwartz (Onyx - mega bucks) and Hargrove (CAW union boss) would make a great ownership team.

Hard to say what would happen to the SRT cars. The capital costs are already spent for the LX and LY platforms, the purchase price will be low - so I don't think they would change much in this area.

I would hope they would continue to make them. It seems they were in demand and you should sell things people want to buy.

Some specific parts such as steering columns, cabin controls are made by Mercedes. Some are originally Mercedes in design, such as suspension, transmission (V8), driveshaft, computers, and rear end, but are manufactured in the US and Canada. The V8 engines are manufactured in Mexico. Most interior stuff, chassis and body panels are made in North America.

I've heard that with the current negotiations, that Daimler will still remain a minority partner in the new Chrysler should these talks solidify.

Bonjour mon ami! It has been a while since we chatted. Today with the final last gasps of winter being flushed away, I am starting to detail Inferno. I've ordered in the Proxes 4 for her (on back order) and am ready to burn off the F1s. I see that you've upgraded to Big Brother and are now a full-fledged member of the Dark Side. Congratulations!! I hope to see you at some Cruise Nights this year. I missed seeing you last season due to your track night schedule conflict. My schedule is a little more flexible this year seeing as I am officially retired. That said, I established my own corporation and that takes care and nurturing too. I have to keep the credit cards always ready for use by the better half.

Cheers.
