Top Speed Recorder

I just noticed that my SRT8 can record my top speed. Did anybody else notice this?

I recall in the owners manual that the warranty can be voided if you were "speed testing" your vehicle. It's ironic that the tools to speed test your car(accurate to 1/100 of a sec and 1/10 of a mph) are included with it, but doing so can void your warranty.

Its new for '07 SRTs only apparently. Are you referring to the top speed on the B Trip odometer?

That's right.

I am sure there is "black box" type data logging for the manufacturer. even if the driver didn't have the feature.

That data has been available to the StarScan from day 1, but not to owners through the EVIC.
